He has many stories to share.
Can i say how much of a God Send the mixer brush tool is? The fact you can blend shit on the fly while painting is fucking amazing.

Wanted to test my skills doing something animey. Normally I refuse to use the smudge tool, but you gotta lean into it for that sexy gradient look.
smudged to immaculate perfection

I really like the sideways heads you draw, such a unique style choice!
for the longest time i thought that it was normal to work with a canvas size of like 1000x700 or smaller, and anything more than that would be too big to work on
found out today that this is not the case
It's been a while since my last dump of dailies:

Your art looks almost simultaneously digital and traditional. Like, it gives me a digital vibe but I can SEE it's on real paper. It's a really amazing look
That's the wonder of gouache. Once you get the hang of painting thick with it it's like oil-paints that dries in a minute and doesnt blend!

I clicked on it instinctively.
Guess you done your job right!
WHY IS THIS HIDDEN IN PHOTOSHOP??
I can finally block in realistic skin tones the way I want to.
Does anyone have tips for abstract/non-objective/non-representational art? I don't really like what I produce when I decide I'm going to do something a little less grounded in reality. I feel like I can't genuinely communicate ideas in any meaningful way. I guess I feel about my own art of this type like how normies feel about all modern art: that it's meaningless and pretentious. When people end up liking these pieces I make I get a little embarrassed because, at least from my perspective, it's all aesthetic and doesn't actually hold any meaning.
Am I just overthinking it? How does one REALLY inject 'meaning' into their art? personally, if I reach within myself to come up with emotions I want to express in a piece, they become overwhelming and it's hard to really know what I want to put on the page. That could just be inexperience, I guess.
I think it's just part of growing up so to speak. on the one hand you need a lot of experience and work behind you to have the technical and stylistic capability to put down what you intend to, and on the other the development of your sensibility is struggling along. and you can see hundreds of artists who have done the years and have the skills but have nothing to say. the peril in this regard is not reading anything or seeing anything or going anywhere. what you're talking about is the consummation of everything you do, even unrelated directly to making art. this fire needs a lot of fuel to make it burn.
I would say a tangible thing you could aim at (apart from just keep living and working) is to ask yourself who are your ten favourite artists, what are your ten favourite films, what are your ten favourite books? if questions like this catch you empty-handed, then you have work to do immediately that will benefit your ability to express feelings which do not easily translate into concrete images
My suggestion is to focus on process and not on the outcome. There is a lot of modern art that is more about how the piece was made than what the piece is. It is also in the process of creating a piece that it can gain real meaning. Not only will it gain real meaning to you because you WILL find meaning in process, but as you discover what it means to you, you can try to exaggerate or express that in the process.
tl;dr process
