yo thanks for posting a picture of a dead guy in the art thread
Try Auxillary pics, they like that sort of thing.
I drew this female knight from the game "for honour" I'm quite happy with it. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/199089/32217558-43ce-4403-bd54-568041ab1c59/IMG_20190412_151727.jpg

And now I'm sad.
I don't know what the fuck you mean by "shoots guns and shit" No, here's the problem I don't mind someone pointing out the flaws in my work, I even encourage it. But what you did was just openly mock me and something I worked hard to create. You weren't trying to be constructive, you where trying to be funny. You posted that image to humiliate me, and guess what? It worked, you win.
oh regarding the gun thing i think i confused you with someone else, sorry about that Either way yeah i was trying to be funny. I wasn't trying to humiliate you, your drawing just instantly reminded me of the megaman thing and I figured since we're all adults here I would be able to make a light joke without it being a big deal Either way, I've edited my post so there's some actual constructive criticism there now.

You have some of the best stuff here, I always look forward to seeing it.
saintbonkers' use of color has always astonished me. your nature scenes are just.. stupid good
saintbonkers is part of the reason i got into actual painting recently, always good to see them!!
Any crits please? (composition, colour, design, form) Also hello again everyone, it's been a while since I had the free-time to browse this thread and man I have a lot to look at now https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/58160/ff22ab04-4aa4-4a63-9330-adca9b18f45f/2019-4-14 - Kara Pose.png

I've answered some questions on my tumblr (where i upload these daily if anyone's interested) so i'm gonna be lazy and copy paste some of the answers here for you! - Adding a small amount of opaque white will help a lot with covering. I almost always have white in my tones, otherwise the paint acts more like aquarelle. - When there’s white blended into a colour things might happen with it when it dries, most often it will turn lighter as it dries. If you’re painting subtle shifts in tone it’s best to let it dry between colour-mixing, just to be sure what shade you just applied! - Gouache does not soak into the paper the same way other watercolours do. It dries and sticks on top of it. This is good for when you wanna re-wet it and push it around with a blank brush. It gives a cool effect, I did it a lot during inktober. Unfortunately this also means the paintings become fragile if you paint thick upon thick. It might even scrape off if you aren’t careful. - I mix my paints on a plate of glass, that way i can add water to yesterdays colours to use them again. It’s also good to have a paper underneath the glass in the same tint as the paper you’re working on, so you can see what the paint’s gonna look like. -I start my paintings with a dark and thin layer of paint. This cancels out the brightness of the paper and gives a nice matt surface to paint on. Letting the paint dry properly between layers is important too. It allows the moisture of the newly added layer to soak into the background and helps thick strokes dry before mixing on the canvas. Trying to wet and reactivate paint rarely ends up working if you want smooth non-textured areas. Better to let it dry and try again on top of it. -Keep as much paint in the tubes as possible. If you only need a bit you can try to re-wet some from the palette, but it will never get that creamy consistency again. It's better to keep taking tiny amounts out of the tubes. It's always frustrating getting that perfect mix you need and running out before you're done, but in time you get the hang of knowing just how much you need for a specific task. Gouache is a watercolor, but if set to dry in a clump will get really hard, and you'll only ruin your brushes trying to scrape it soft again.
I drew a Parasect (pokemon) concept that has a corpse flower inside of it https://66.media.tumblr.com/d73f8208a322ea13784dcded37cf1863/tumblr_pq524cjrFi1wqy24ho1_1280.pnj If you don't know what a Corpse Flower is, I'd suggest looking it up because its really cool
Here's probably my most ambitious picture yet and I'm just so eager to share it because I'm really proud of it (its thumbnailed because its a 5000x3000 picture) https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/1986/d00c6829-4d39-4ca9-bf07-8ce5249ef481/coconut in space.png
I wanted to push the pink accents of my ref but I ended up making the entire flower pink lol I wonder how I can undo this fuck up. I guess i'll just have to paint over it again. Anyone have any good tips I should keep in mind while painting? https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/58160/3a2f658c-6b6c-4ed6-8189-700a7f094733/image.png
This flower managed to make it go into existential dread so I think I'm going to call it quits for now hahaha https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/58160/32b44b7f-2941-4e2b-a3cb-f78a2832cd2c/2019-4-20 - Flower Study.png

In celebration of my all time favorite game's fourth anniversary, I feel like posting some old works based on it. Still a novice with tablets. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D5W4PbFUcAEUN7n.jpg https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D5W4P2nUUAE8bEW.jpg https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D5W4PofUUAUtzyh.jpg https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D5W4QJrUEAA9W9c.jpg

Last couple of games I've made have had 'shoulders and head only' characters due to my lacking confidence and not being able to draw proportions well. This game, which takes place inside an Academy for magical gravekeepers who live in a world where souls have gravity, weight, and an expiration date, I'm saying 'fuck it' and trying it anyway. This has been the result so far. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/133737/d09591d1-34ee-4354-851b-cb1c443c6965/image.png
End result for that sketch. First, the full concept art for the main character https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/133737/5b461f78-5ffb-410a-b706-4ff4eaed3bfb/image.png And then the output for the game, which has a severely restricted palette and a couple other tricks thrown in to make it look like a sprite from an old 80s/90s RPG. (Ignore the mostly monochrome character, they're a stand-in for the more final art of that character) https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/133737/f3d77fa1-38f6-4180-8431-85378a019f9a/image.png
