Gurren Lagann if Proxygreen was the art director
Though, great design.
Holy crap this thread is filled with so many amazing artists now. I feel inadequate
, especially after such a long break from drawing stuff.

I'd like to directly comment on this one, it's simple but very pleasing. My only suggestion is to make the light shine on the water a little more visible.

How the fuck do proportions work
Well, proportions are just one layer of realism when it comes to drawing the figure. The proportions of human anatomy are generally consistent--enough to be, well, recognizably human--but can differ wildly depending on the subject.
If you want to learn to draw people, you can't go wrong by starting with real life references who are in front of you. I recommend this because your figure seems flat to me, and drawing from live references will train your understanding of perspective and volume. These are really important layers to convey the illusion of three dimensions, and IMO they're more important than just correct proportions.
What started as a dumb doodle turned into our studio's mascot.

i really really like your design, @WheatleyGrim ! so i wanted to draw it. i hope you like it.
(would it be okay if i posted it on my blog, with proper credit of course?)
@Bynine That looks so freaking amazing, I fucking love it! you can totally post it with credits . I never thought anyone would ever make a fanart of anything I make.
Just saying it means a lot to me right now cause am actually going through something stressful today. so seeing this now made me feel much better.

Tried making some glitch art.
Took y'all's advice and returned to the start. Currently doing the 250 box drill
Can you see the progress lol

Try rotating them!
I probably should yeah. I wanted to get this pov consistent first but I can probably make more progress doing odd angles
Yeah, look into how rotating objects work, and how the vanishing points change.
I just started learning to draw a few days ago via Andrew Loomis' Fun with A pencil. I found a picture in there i liked and tried to recreate it from memory

Is there anything I could improve upon in future sketches?

Another fan-made champion for Paladins, in an 11 page complete overview. If you're familiar with hero shooters then this will make more sense I suppose.

Both the community and the game's developers praised my work so I'm feeling good about the hard work that I put in.
pretty nice. that cheek is too razor-sharp and I think you overworked or at least over-stroked the hair which I know is a penchant of yours
as there's not much technically to complain about I would also say it doesn't convey much, it looks like a study of a pretty photograph. it doesn't have a setting or mood that would make it valuable to a stranger as a piece of art. it's nice but bland. also very digital bc of the way you use the round brush. you may not care about that though
can you do something similar grammar-wise :v
I think it's probably worth doing just for confidence with drawing lines, but you've likely hit diminishing returns with the same box by now lol. I can see lots of imperfections, odd splaying and things, which I imagine is because you long ago started drawing them fairly automatically as it's the same angle. maybe draw some objects from a cuboid base that have more planes and things, make yourself think a bit harder about what you're doing. if you practice cylinders in the same way, by the bye, you'll probably see serious improvement after 100 of them because ellipses are so much more difficult
It's not grammar it's my ~style~
I'll definitely do the 250 cilinder drill after this box drill. I followed @-IIII-----IIII- 's advice to start drawing some odd angles and it was a huge struggle, so that's definitely a good area to work on. Thanks for the advice y'all's

It has been some time! I'm still kicking. I have been working on the figure and anatomy, and concurrently dabbling in making my own furry shit.

Well this is certainly a game changer in the development of the project. Cause holy shit using normal maps just shot up the quality of everything by like 1000x.
