this isn't really a criticism of the piece itself, but have you tried using a tool like paint.net for color correction (e.g. improved contrast via the Curves tool)? if you're maintaining this pencil on paper style it would be a good way to improve the presentation of your artwork
as for the piece itself, she's quite cute! the major areas you should work on are the fabric and hair (difficult, i know!) right now they look rather flat. try to use references and imagine how the hair and clothes would drape over a person
