@ZombieDawgs that's hot
I made a fireman hose for a project I was assigned to for my internship.

Second prop I've produced for the Artstation Challenge.

I needed a smooth test surface with many curves, so I modeled this weird abstract statue. To me it kind of resembles some sort of aquatic creature protecting a ball? I don't know, but I do really like how it turns out. It'll suit my needs perfectly.
I love how you can (could?) go back to the old 3d threads and see people progressively getting better and better
I have this image sitting on my desktop to remind me how far I have come.

Good memories
Giving another go at modelling cars:

There's little evidence of my progression, I've never really taken time to do my own things. Though I started out here struggling to model a D-Battery and now I have a degree and work as a realtime artist at an ArchVis company.
Third and final prop for the AS challenge. Going to do some nice renders but I think this is it for now.
If anyone has some good ideas for a way to present them I'm all ears.

Tried Sculpting again.
So I've getting into ZBrush Core (It was cheaper)
When you need to setup a facial rig in 3DS Max, is morph shapes still the best way (or a good way at least) of doing it? It's hard to keep up!
Just submitted to the artstation challenge. Gotta wait for judging now.
Idk what to do with myself now... Other than create more art I guess.
Yeah everything is still just bones + morph targets. The process is quite mature so I wouldn't expect a paradigm shift in animation any time soon.
The only addition might be adding wrinkle normals and other texture/shader features which blend along with the morph targets once you get in engine, but that's not particularly new either.

can say this is sorta therapeutic.
Like Adam, I have also participated in the Artstation Challenge, and yeah, you're kinda left with an anti-climatic, empty feeling. I think I worked on this every day since the challenge started almost, and now that I don't have anything to do I'm just sitting here staring at my computer screen. :P
