get a trial for either RealityCapture or get 3DF Zephyr Free (limit 50 pictures so youre good here). super simple to use both.
I wouldn't recommend wearing glasses if you want to photoscan yours or others' faces. They won't align correctly. In general it's best to avoid anything shiny or really flatly coloured.
Duke model I'm making for a mod

Been working more on that procedural modeling system.
So cool ! how long did the render take ?
It's real-time in UE4.
am I seeing things or is this more squished than a normal krink would be?
It's from a concept, but it does seem to be heavily based on the krinkov among other things mashed in.

I posted this in one of the 3D threads in 2011
I'm pretty sure I made it because I saw @nVidia post an even better looking one

Hey everyone, thought I'd throw up the walk cycle I made for my bear character. He's kinda inspired by the Lone Druid spirit bear from dota.

I did some as well back in 2011.
Think for the very same reason.
I tried doing one too back then

Been looking at modeling for years but had never mustered the willpower to start until now.
Current goal is to try and make a retro styled robot considering it should be simple enough.

This is my first proper go at making content in Unreal, some models and textures inspired by Silent Hill
Remember the blob I animated?
The skit's finished!
But since I know jack shit about rendering nice looking animations, I decided to flesh out an idea I had - with the power of ANIMATION!
I hope you enjoy this bullshoot / previsualization

Man I used to love hogs of war on the original playstation.
Playing around with chunky shapes and colors. Not for anything specific, just fun.

Where do you guys look for work, usually?
I'm trying to find both short term, quick freelance gigs for a couple bucks a pop as well as hoping to land more stable work in general.
I'm kinda lost right now - some of my friends suggested posting on the game dev subreddits, as well as the Unreal Engine and Unity specific forums. Should I bother posting stuff on twitter?
What do you guys suggest?
Been kind of wondering the same thing. Also a sling for my rifle.

Where abouts do you live? That's usually a big factor. My city has facebook groups for local gamedevs and artists that is usually good for freelance stuff
I'm afraid that's not gonna be an option for me, I'm in bumfuck nowhere, Italy. Maybe if I were to reside in Rome or Milan.
Hmmm well, good thing about freelance is it's usually remote work so it doesn't matter where you are. You could try find groups for more central italy and it wouldn't matter

Wrapped up this today. Not overly happy but it's time to move on.
