Finally figured out the firewall shape and fender well. Fuck you ford.
It looks as though your first one has some limited colour pallete, it gives it a pixel-arty quality that looks really, really cool

Working on a model based off Robb Stark's sword from Game of Thrones. I suck at rendering so I just did a screengrab.
Crits welcome, I'm trying to get back into modelling after having not modeled anything for over a year.

Finished abandoned Ford Thunderbird, been really trying to up my render game
Anybody in Europe that can hook me up with a Titan V and maybe 16-32GB DDR3 RAM extra?

the "sewed" leather is my only nitpick. that's not how they do leather grips on swords.

Is there actually a way on newpunch to not make them pagestretcher? I kinda miss the thumb tags, so sorry for that.
This is actually the frame from above. Impossible to render on GPU, so CPU has to do.
Also this is just a test render, slight noise (most of it are actually bubbles), and not final camera etc.
I always loved your stuff @Juniez , Fantastic like always!
Thank you for your kind words, friend
High-Poly Reflex Sight for my Railgun Project, how the fuck do I thumb images now?

They're shrunk automatically so there's no real need to thumb tbh.
Looks badass, by the way! I like how you did the hex-head thumb screws. It's a small detail but very realistic.
Did this for April 1st to myself kinda

My bake finished yesterday, now I'm trying to play around with render settings and stuff.

A few tests with different whitewater particle sizes. (see follow-up tweets, don't want to page stretch)
Still unsure if I want to go with a static camera or some camera movement.
Its just hard to make that look decent and not robotic bad or artificial.
I started learning Max Creation Graph as a means to get the braided cables on my pump appear inflated, but not self intersect like they previously did.
My custom Push modifier takes in vertex colors, in this case baked AO, and uses them as a weight on the push amount. There is also a gamma function to control the falloff of the weighting effect. Though I have no use for color atm, just black to white, the modifier has full color support which means I can optionally influence the direction of the push (aka each RGB channel of the vertex color independently weights the push for each XYZ component in a vertex's normal vector).

Below is the vertex color AO I baked.

more spam, this time it's textured
not happy with how marmoset rendered the opacity on the lens, came out all noisy and fucked up some reflections but i think im using it wrong, will try to fix sometime

Looks pretty good, the edge wear is very over the top and procedural looking though
thanks, i'm trying to go for a somewhat worn look as it's meant to be from fallout/metro 2033 but i can tone it down a bit
the modelling and bake look pretty good but the texture definitely needs work. i can't put my finger on what it is other than the slightly OTT edge wear, the colouring generally just seems really cloudy. maybe that's just because of the roughness detail. maybe lower the scale of whatever texture you're using to generate the roughness there to stop it looking so patchy

found a couple quick references of decent looking materials for u
I made an isometric version of my living room in Blender. It was my first time making anything in Blender after using 3ds Max for a few years, and I'm really enjoying it now that I've gotten used to the hotkeys and interface which took about a day of watching the many videos they have on their youtube page.

And here's a gif with progress along the way, minus the very end where I made the invisible ceiling and walls to enclose the room and block out the outside light.

Nicely done! How'd you do the soft cushions on the red & beige chairs? They look really well done. Great carpet as well, is it the hair modifier?

700 frames to go, this is so slow. I'm on day 4 of rendering. 3 more to go. Somebody send me 64GB of DDR3 RAM or a Titan V.
Come a long way since that revolver thing I posted a while back. Still have to resort to low poly because realistic models are impossible.

It's for VR by the way

All parts move, I only had a system to move the slide here but the magazine can theoretically, drop out. Whenever I make a system for that. Also the trigger could work I guess.
I've always wanted to make realistic and fictional guns, but I'm so bad at it, and my motivation to learn is zero
All I do is mini-models for cities/RTS/etc, and that's all I can do
I'm modeling the pistol Summer uses in Season 2 Episode 4 of Rick and Morty, the one she's holding here:

I changed around some details to make it more interesting to model but I kept all the details from the original more or less the same.
I need to redo or at least work on the cylindrical thing on the side as it has some errors on it and I need to make some sights but otherwise it's pretty much done. Might redo the trigger too as I'm not super happy with its shape.
Working on an environment. The new Substance Painter is pretty rad.

made a wood material in designer, setting up a bunch of smart materials to hopefully speed up the process of all the other pieces I gota make

Going for a some what stylized approach. Not tooooo happy with the style but I just need to move on.

I followed Blender Guru's beginner's tutorial on modeling in Blender, pretty happy with it. Not gonna use this one for anything but I need to start modeling for my game.
whoops posted in the wrong thread it seems
