Creative Photography 🌵hread v1: There's Still No Cactus Rating

My Flickr account is back from the dead! Been just under 4 years since I last posted - didn't really do any photography while I was studying. Some weekly challenges at the office have peaked my interest in photography again (though I've mostly been posting to Instagram) and I finally saved up enough cash to get a drone. Prepare for babbies first drone pics:

I had my Sigma 150-500 f/5-6.3 repaired. Clearly it's the ultimate landscape lens.
Bit over a year ago, I accidentally dropped my Canon 6D w/ the Sigma from a tall shelf. The rear end of the Sigma snapped off, and the Canon 6D was completely mangled (entire body bent, somehow)
The 6D was beyond kaput, but luckily the Sigma was repairable.
So now it lives on with my A7III & Metabones adapter <3

Canon 6D Mk II or 5D Mk III? The 6D Mk II is much cheaper and has more convenient features like Wi-fi and touch/flip out screen. The only big benefit of the 5D I see is the dual card slots but I can just rent that body out for the odd event I need where losing any images would be devastating.
Bit under half the original cost of the lens. Something like 300 usd. Not cheap.
Got a new enlarger, it's got an incorrect lamp in it (most shops don't sell 100w bulbs) but it works.
It's a lovely thing to use, solid as a rock

Huh, reminds me of a very similar broken fortification / castle in Poland.
I'm recently getting back into photography. I've always been into it, but never did much.

The first one is a bit cliche but gives you a much stronger sense of curiosity compared to the other two. The others just come off as random pictures of things around you with neat swirly bokeh, whereas the first grabs you in more.
Thanks for the feedback! I'll try to keep that in mind moving forwards. I will say that the bokeh definitely lends itself better to some pictures than others.
Here's one more for you guys

First one is very LOTR first nazgul encounter looking.
This would be better if we could see his face. For me, the bokeh says "distress" or vertigo or confusion, and seeing someone's back from a fairly regular angle just kinda takes you out of it.
Yeah if he was looking at the camera with a strong expression of some kind it would give more 'story' to the image. If he was just some random dude you took a picture off then telling him he's a wanker and grabbing the shot before legging it probably would've worked.
Here's a cat.
