I guess I wasn't going for a specific mood with the bokeh, though I should definitely think about that. I was kind of just going for sort of cinematic? I guess? It's just a fun lens to play around with heh.
Need C&C. Went out for a Instameet, and got a photo of a well known building. Got 2 looks, but I'm undecided. B&W for that punchy architecture look, and another for the normal colour look.

I like the normal color best too, it's very punchy and sharp. Good job!
Okay. Always have a tough time making decisions. Thought it'll look good in B&W
Hey guys, I'm looking to get a new bag for carrying gear.
I'll most likely prioritise taking my drone over my DSLR (it's an ancient 5D MK1 and 2 of our best lenses got stolen) but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the bags in this list.
I really like the look of the LowerPro Slingshot but I'm a little put off by the lack of a full size sleeve as I've got an A4 folder for legal documentation (damn drone regulations.) I've seen a guy squeeze a Mavic Pro in the top compartment but I'm unsure if a Mavic 2 would fit and my local Wex Photo doesn't have any in stock. I have the Mavic 2 shoulder bag but it can be a pain when I already have another bag on my back for other items.
I'm looking for something that I can take on day hikes and slip my drone (and possibly DSLR) in with enough room for lunch, flask and a hoody. If you know of any bags that could easily double as a commute bag, that would be great. My current one just fell to pieces while I was out walking this Saturday.

After sharing on reddit, a company used my photo without permission.

Ask them for compensation.

Not sure if they're sincere enough.
Or should I lawyer up?
That's pretty much as good of a response you could expect. You probably wouldn't get anywhere further with it.
Too often I see companies deciding "no actually we can use whatever we'd like :^)", so them owning up to it and taking it down is definitely one of the best outcomes. (although just getting paid would be nice too)
Now they're asking for a collab....seriously....

Respectfully decline, unless you feel that being paid in "exposure" is fair.
More like I'll charge them for the work
Hell, I'm being nice enough to not ask for compensation over the image used.
I put a diffraction grating in front of my lens to see what it would look like with lights tracking across in long exposures
results are aurora except fabulous and gay

Had a go at toning some prints.

This one was sepia then selenium.
Sepia toning is fun and works quickly. The selenium doesn't seem to make much difference with these papers, I left a print in there for a few hours and there was a barely perceptible purple hue to it. And jesus christ it stinks, super unpleasant strong ammonia smell. On the bright side I don't think I'll ever complain about changing the cats litter again
Any film buffs out there know of a 35mm film with the same characteristics as MX 200? It’s a Max Spielmann film my dad found in his storage, expired over 14 years ago so that may have changed the tone of the film more than the original emulsion, but to date it’s one of my favourite films I’ve ever shot
here’s a sample

(last pic is overexposed I know, I was playing around with pushing it and ended up ruining a couple pics )
Something went wrong with some film I developed. I haven't worked out how

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solarisation maybe?
Definitely looks like solarisation, I just can't work out when it happened or how. The film base is so consistently dark I can't see it being a light leak. Chemicals were freshly mixed at steady 19-20 celsius and have only been open for a couple of weeks. Contamination is a possibility, but I did wash my measuring cylinders at the end of my last session and before starting this one.
During shooting I exposed it normally, I don't think I did anything weird with it other than adding half a stop of compensation for some of the roll. I did overdevelop the film, but I've done a few rolls exactly the same way before and they were fine.
I had a go at Lith printing.
It's a long process and not entirely predictable but quite rewarding. Gonna do some more of this

Some companies seriously funny eh, 21 hospitals, 7-8 photos per facade, gotta photograph interior, exterior and commercial shots for $30-$250 USD? And they want it by Oct 15th?
