Apparently flickr are updating their terms of use now for free accounts. You can no longer have more than 1000 photos on your profile unless you have Pro.

After January 8, 2019, members over the limit will no longer be able to upload new photos to Flickr. After February 5, 2019, free accounts that contain over 1,000 photos or videos will have content actively deleted -- starting from oldest to newest date uploaded -- to meet the new limit."
They probably shouldve put some effort into improving the community first before this but whatever, they want their service to be for displaying the best photography rather than the current dumbing ground it is. 1000 photos is a lot looking at it that way.
I like the "we're going to wipe any accounts with over 1,000 photos" which will obliterate a lot of photos I don't have originals of. Offer me some decent features and I'll pay, otherwise I'll let my account get wiped.

Depends how much you've got. Mega still has 50gb of free storage.
They only want $50 a year for unlimited storage, it's not that much in terms of how much other photography shit costs.
PSA:
If you went to a school that used gmail for your student email account, you will most likely have unlimited google drive space on that account.
Some schools intend for you to keep your email account indefinitely as an alumni perk. Other schools may not explicitly offer this and could purge your account at anytime, so contact them and ask if you aren't sure.
The 'catch' is that whoever is admin of the school's gsuite can see whatever you upload if they desired.

dunno where else to post this but i find it kinda funny that, as someone who has owned a dslr for a couple years, my favourite photo i've ever taken was on an iphone 4

I've only got a 1300D and my longest focal length lens is an 85mm, but with some image stacking you can get surprisingly crisp results with pretty limited artifacting:

It's obviously no replacement for a proper telephoto, but surprisingly usable.
