I never had any but a friend did and I was super jealous. It's a really cool gimmick. As much as I think the current "brick gimmicks" of stud launchers and and spring missile launchers are cool i don't they compare to old stuff with magnets and stuff. was that the only pneumatic tube set? on a similar note - anyone got rock raiders/UFO/exploriens sets? i'd probably be willing to [sp]buy or trader for them[/sp]
That's true, I think the gimmicks need a bit more variety. IIRC the only other pneumatic set was the pneumatic pistons and valves with the old Mindstorms kits.
It's interesting how Lego occasionally releases sets with slight differences depending on the region, the sets on the left are for the NA market, while the ones on the right are for the EU. Including the main base with air pump and transport tubes. Also got some of my older brother's Rock Raiders pieces mixed in to things. At one point I had enough of them together to make most of the main base, but there's far less now. It's a shame, Rock Raiders is by far my favorite logo series of all time.

Lego studios, which gave you a camera and software to film stopmotion lego films : Lego Spybotics, which was a offshoot of Mindstorms that involved.. uh.. spying. Lego Exo-Suits, I mean DUDE MECHS. Also disc launchers, over-usage of tubes, LED's.. just generally cool. Galidor. It was terrible but gets a mention for the werid ass models. Probably more but I can't think of any. Most likely the older Harry Potter sets.
Exo-Force was a really cool theme, and was basically the precursor to Ninjago. I had Sentai Fortress a while back (i really regret not shipping my collection from UK to Canada when I move doh my god)

I want the UCS snowspeeder bad but I just shelled out for the Silent Mary... It looks great, unlike the travesty of a set that the UCS Hoth one was
I want the UCS snowspeeder bad but I just shelled out for the Silent Mary... It looks great, unlike the travesty of a set that the UCS Hoth one was
That wouldn't even be considered an UCS... IF anything, it should have been an UCP (Ultimate Scale Playset). EDIT: https://twitter.com/NewElementary/status/845615218168336384 Holy shit I wasn't expecting this!
whoever runs that twitter is obsessed with nexogons lol also found a set that i owned 10 years ago hidden away in a dusty corner at a mom and pop toy store! [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/CNoCWXS.png[/thumb]
That's because New Elementary is a blog entirely dedicated about new Lego bricks, and every now and then, the owner creates a "parts festival" in which people try to use a specific piece in clever ways; hence why so many posts about the Nexogon. http://www.newelementary.com/ Also, Nice Exo-Force find! Unfortunately at the time I didn't manage to get that many EF sets; I only got all the small-sized mechs (they all had the guy with purple hair) the only normal-sized sets I ever got were http://brickset.com/sets/8102-1/Blade-Titan and http://brickset.com/sets/8104-1/Shadow-Crawler and http://brickset.com/sets/7704-1/Sonic-Phantom I regret not getting anything from the 3rd year (Jungle theme).
I only had pictured, bridge walker and sentai fortress. my planes are to buy the entire exo force theme along with rockraiders :p not gonna bother with sealed because cost, mostly just gonna part things up/buy used sets off bricklink. I wish it was EF and not ninjago that got huge and became legos bread and butter :( imagine a EF movie
I still remember coming home one day to my mom telling me she had given my entire box of lego's assembled from since i was 5, to the fucking neighbour boy. I guess in her mind i had passed the arbitrary age where you were too old in her eyes to enjoy Lego. Those rancid cunts probably just threw it all out eventually. The world is cruel.
Sweet Makuta
Love what you did with the horns and weapons man, great stuff. Also, didn't realize FP had a Lego thread now! I've been dabbling in the stuff for a while now. Here's my own Makuta, one of the winners from the contest they held last year.
Love what you did with the horns and weapons man, great stuff.
Damn, I definitely wasn't expecting a comment from you! I'm surprised with the amount of popularity it's getting. I wonder if the Shogun could have given me more chances of winning that contest. I mean now that I think about it, my previous Makuta iteration, Behemoth of the Shadows, was one of my most uninspired-looking creations: Just look at it. It just fits the most overused themes for a villain like him. Oh, and the fucker could even barely stand on itself; it was like a miracle that I managed to take properly pictures of him. At least Shogun has some original elements to it (e.g. the sickle and Chain I was inspired by Samurai Jack).

Not my work but I found it years ago.
Am I the only one who finds Brickheads soulless and creepy, and this comes from a guy who tends to think completely black eyes as cute, but not when you can park a minivan in-between them.
Am I the only one who finds Brickheads soulless and creepy, and this comes from a guy who tends to think completely black eyes as cute, but not when you can park a minivan in-between them.
I think its kinda neat that its accurate to the source material, but it has the annoying Funko Pop chibi thing going on that just kinda ruins it imo.
Am I the only one who finds Brickheads soulless and creepy, and this comes from a guy who tends to think completely black eyes as cute, but not when you can park a minivan in-between them.
Technically, unlike Funko POPs, BH have printed eyes (I guess they did research and found out POPs' issues and fixed them): And while I do agree that this "chibi collectibles" thing is kinda overrated, I'm fine with LEGO doing it because it means: - we get more exclusive bricks in new colours/prints (all decorations on BH are printed, not stickered) - you're not obligated to build it and display it, you can just simply buy it for the bricks - you can easily fix any part that you don't like
I actually think that stickers are better than prints, because it means that if you want a piece at that color, you can have it without needing to jump trough some difficult hoops of print removing. On Minifigs, or some general multi-use prints (like eyes, warning stripes, or computer screens) its good.
