Decided to refresh my wallpaper. Going from this: [t]http://i.imgur.com/xFMZpMh.png[/t] To this: [t]http://i.imgur.com/w8NpmO0.png[/t] I liked the old one, but I think the new one looks classy as frig.
Definitely looks better than the old one. Can I ask what it is?
Personal mark. I slap it on everything.
is it a ribbon wearing a bow tie?
Made a web version of a CHVRCHES cover: (click to see the somewhat messy source)
is it a ribbon wearing a bow tie?
Nope, just a jawn.
Nope, doesn't actually mean anything.
maybe not 100% 'graphic design' but hey ho been making some cards, did this one for Mother's Day (next sunday in the UK) [t]http://i.imgur.com/VVptPsv.jpg[/t] and i got some work into the Jamie Oliver magazine! readership of ~380,000 so a fairly good number, hurrah! I have no skills and I'm utter shit and here's my submission for a school club t-shirt contest [t]http://i.imgur.com/oZIfmEG.png[/t]
Anyone good with Flash? I want to export a .gif (or sequence of .png's), but all the images are the same. It's because I have a Document with 1 keyframe, but the Document contains a Symbol with multiple keyframes. The export function just ignores the symbol though - how do I work around this?
I think Rusty used to use flash a lot? Maybe still does. Not sure how much animation stuff he did with it though. I don't know flash at all, but is there any way to like break down the symbol into its key frames?
I figured it out, you have to set the symbol to 'Graphic' instead of 'Movie Clip'.
I have no skills and I'm utter shit and here's my submission for a school club t-shirt contest [t]http://i.imgur.com/oZIfmEG.png[/t]
The font is more than a little much. That plus everything being the same size and with similar weights throws off the hierarchy, or rather there isn't any. Also, especially with tshirt printing, the car image is a little rough. You want smooth edges where those two values meet, and it'd probably be best to take out any super small, unnecessary details. Sorta like this. Although it could still be more detailed than this. so i took a picture of my monitor zoomed in with my shitty phone camera then turned it into a wallpaper [img_thumb]http://puu.sh/gWdpV/c0ee70945e.png[/img_thumb]
Sorry I've been a little inactive lately, just haven't had much to post, and not too much to comment on either! Anyways, I made a logo for a local sports organizing company / league 4 years ago and they now want a refresh. Anyone have any good examples of league logos? Logos that are flexible and can be unique for multiple sports?
Made some album art Any good?
I made a fake ad for my favorite mountain biking shoes, photography and all. What needs improving?
It's probably better if I just PM the dude who lives a couple towns north of me, but I'll still ask here anyway, since this company has more than one office. Any of you ever worked with, or worked for GYK Antler? From what relatively little information I can find about them online, they seem like a great company. Perhaps I'll try and pay them a visit (in Manchester) to learn a little more about them.
I made a fake ad for my favorite mountain biking shoes, photography and all. What needs improving?
I suppose the "The" could be more in line the the "I" in Impact Low. Maybe even use the same texture as the rest of the text. But overall, unless I don't know jackshit, that is a really great ad, photograph and everything!

What needs improving?
This is more photography thing but I would suggest a shallower depth of field to pull more focus on the product. You'd still get an idea of the environment but the frame itself will be less busy.
I think it is really solid, but I would pull all the text a bit farther from the borders, and I might try having "TESTED. PROVEN." at the top left, so that your eye starts at the top left, reads Tested and proven, moves down to the right, sees the shoes, moves down to the right, sees the brand. It would flow better visually and would create a more dynamic composition.
Logo for a hockey fundraiser for someone, it is a face-off circle for those unfamiliar with hockey: [img_thumb]http://www.kenoncreative.com/images/logos/HockeyForHawgoodCause_Variant1.jpg[/img_thumb]

I would take that advice on relocating the text up and left, but I think that with the crop I shot the image in I'd start obscuring the product too much. I definitely think you're right about how that would make it read better. It's a photography composition issue though, so next time I'll be sure to shoot with more options and visualize text placement in negative space better. But uhh that's where you are, so ace. But for the hockey purposes yeah your chosen design is better since MORE resembling the flag than the face-off circle won't send as strong a hockey-related message.
I'm trying to redesign my game's Android icon.
This is the current one: This is the new one:
It's made to look more like the actual gameplay. [t]http://i.imgur.com/Ma0QXUQ.png[/t] I feel like it has some potential, but I can't quite make it work. Does anyone have any ideas on how to make it better?
My website is just about finished. Let me know what you guys think and how it works on your browsers and phones and such. http://jaredtapp.com/
Looks good, works well on my browser too. Wish I could get some high visibility work like that.
This was the final assignment for my GD class so I decided to be a little cheeky :v: [img_thumb]http://puu.sh/hxfJt/1eabd6b399.png[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://puu.sh/hxhlw/69849a0552.png[/img_thumb]
