Creative Photography 🌵hread v11: Shoot to Kill

Hey guys I just shot my 2nd wedding tonight! Was booked literally two days prior bc the original photographer bailed out for some reason. Learned a bit more about shooting weddings this time round. Got pretty excited when I got this shot toward sunset. It's a pretty typical wedding shot with the reflection and what not but I really liked it. :v:

They were dancing lol so this was that 'awkward' movement in the middle of dancing; it was a part of a bunch of photos i just picked one out

Try going for a more interesting composotion by placing the subject somewhere else in the frame (not in the midle) and also think about how big you want to put it in the frame. Make sure when you use a solid background theres no distraction of corners & lines.

If you're shooting digital just play around, also try shooting in portrait along with landscape.

Would had looked nice if you could get the guy to spin the bride and then you snap. I don't think it hurts to pose the couple a bit

Yeah, looking back now I definitely need to be more vocal with stuff. At the same time I also did not want to be SUPER demanding and annoy them since this was right before the best man toast. It's a bad excuse, as I should be able to quickly direct the couple and get the shoot quick.

Anyway, would this be a better photo? I had a "spin the bride photo" but cut off their reflection in the pool.
