are there any tricks that will allow me to have an f8 on my iphone so i can get that blur?
f8 on an iphone will not have that blur because the sensor is so small on an iphone it's near impossible to get out of focus backgrounds
f8 on an iphone will not have that blur because the sensor is so small on an iphone it's near impossible to get out of focus backgrounds
am I able to buy a bigger sensor? i have an iphone 5c i really want to get blur like that, i think that it looks very professional
am I able to buy a bigger sensor? i have an iphone 5c i really want to get blur like that, i think that it looks very professional
no buy a camera
no buy a camera
what is the best camera? I want to have a lot of blur
1) download paint.net 2) open image 3) select area where you want blur 4) apply gauss blur filter 5) profit Really, cameras and lenses are friggin expensive. [editline]5th July 2017[/editline] Besides that, there are parts of photography where you want everything in focus, mainly landscape and street photography. Adjust your needs to what you can do, and even then we all told you a numerous alternatives to achieving blur. Good luck. [editline]5th July 2017[/editline] And I'm sure you could do good photographs right now, you just need to go out and train your eye for composition and interesting subjects, because bokeh won't fix boring photos.

All right. Maybe we should move this discussion to PMs or the photography discussion thread. Let's try to get this back on track.

I tried all the different blur ideas like ichimans elperiodistas and ichimans close one i like how they're coming out, it does look more professional but the edges are hard in that program you told me about ichiman is ther a easier way? [editline]6th July 2017[/editline] how do i take macro photosgraphy?
how do i take macro photosgraphy?
you'll either need a lens made for it or a lens attachment. or since you seem to enjoy improvising, a very strong magnifying glass will get the job done
i'm thinking about getting a camera though what's the best camera for macro pictures?
any camera body will do, what makes the difference is the lens. look for lenses advertised as macro
i'm thinking about getting a camera though what's the best camera for macro pictures?
Budget?
Budget?
No, it doesn't have to be a budget camera
No, it doesn't have to be a budget camera
How much are you willing to pay at most?
You guys could buy a 35mm film camera. You can find really really cheap sets with good lenses. With most of the standard lenses you can achieve decent depth blur wide open. Macro afapters are quite cheap too.

If it was more convenient I wouldn't shoot digital at all, I far prefer the soft film 'look'. My Nikon FG is gathering dust :(

Huh. Turns out it was another stupid alt. The fuck is wrong with those guys? Anyway, on topic: I'm never sure quite where I stand on pictures of statues. Do you think having a pre-posed subject compromises the intent?
really glad kirby got permabanned now, hope it stays that way

Do you think having a pre-posed subject compromises the intent?
They bore me, personally. I always have the urge to pull out my camera and take pictures of some neat statues, but ultimately a picture of some other artistic expression, pre-posed and ready to be admired regardless of how I shoot it, is just boring and doesn't add anything except maybe a neat angle, which isn't much. I'm sure there are some great photos out there involving statues, but I haven't seen them yet. I always take pictures of statues only to realize later in Lightroom that there's no impact to them.
