Still getting used to shooting on film. I want to eventually start shooting something that actually reads with more meaning, rather than just generic environment shots. Story is key and all that.

sure. i shoot primarily with a first gen Sony A7 with a bunch of vintage pentax k-mount lenses. in particular, the 50mm f1.7 and 28mm f2.8.
i recommend using a cable release with a timer and removing your camera strap if you are in a place with a lot of wind. if using anything above your camera's base ISO (in my case, ISO100) turn on in-camera long exposure noise reduction if it's available. it takes double the time to see the photo, but it saves you a lot of time and detail in the long run.
if you're trying to capture the landscape and not necessarily the stars, try to shoot the pictures in the f8-f16 range. makes more longer exposures, and as a result, more ethereal looking pictures. buy a good tripod. bring a book or some music if you're doing particularly long exposures.
always use live view and make sure you know how to zoom in on the preview to focus your photo. it's nearly impossible to try to focus through a viewfinder in darkness so you're going to have to use your LCD screen. that being the case, you might want to bring an extra battery or two.
and don't be afraid to touch the color sliders in your raw editor!

I think you have a lot of very awesome images in here ( and I personally appreciate you using such small thumbnails with such a quantity of images.)
My main criticism is that you're selling yourself short by including some less than awesome shots. Like the cat -- it looks like a snapshot you took with your phone of your cat on your porch, there's nothing unique or exciting or interesting about it (to me, you may feel more about the image due to personal connection but we don't get that as viewers) Likewise, if you put all 5 flower photos together, you should probably be able to narrow it down to 2 or 3 that are above the rest. If you have so many of a similar subject together, and you can't narrow it down, it might feel like it's because they're all bleh instead of that they're all really great. Still, overall you're doing good work, and your photos on the whole are good, but I think you could push yourself to be a bit more picky with your photos, since you have some really cool ones and some really average ones.
Also Dbot I like #1 and love #2 but I think #3 feels a bit unexciting for me. kirederf, that's awesome and I love the tones.
