haven't been here since before they changed the whole forums, geez.
anyway i finished my first roll of film and got everything developed and scanned and i just corrected them today and im pretty happy with how they turned out. i only wish I paid an extra $3 for the larger res scans.

Did my first ever paid gig to help a friend do a mock graduation shoot with family that couldn't come to actual graduation. Harsh critique welcome. I really do need to invest in a portrait lens though.

I can understand your reason for taking the third photo, but I think you should also had taken the other way as well, with your subject in focus. Or rather close it down to a smaller aperture so you get both in focus.
If you have trees in the bg, and branching out, try to avoid photographing them when it looks like its growing out of their heads.
You should had done one where they stand directly behind the church door.
Learn to direct them and take control of your situation. In the first photo, I notice some of them are covered by the front person's hair. Tell them where they should stand. People can get upset for the smallest reason (my old boss lost his job with a country club because he didn't take a photo where the hand wasn't covering the cheque for a fund raiser)
