Hey wanted to get your guys' opinion on my scan vs the professional scan. Don't mind the dust in my scan; was just trying to do a scan that focused on the colors. For those of you who shoot film, my scan was done on a V500.

The photo lab I was using kind of fucked up both the developing and scanning, but I managed to clean up the dust and most of the artifacts in photoshop and salvage some semi-decent stuff.
I found a new lab that does much better work, I've already got some good results back from them that I'll be posting soonish.

I prefer your scan, the colour contrast is much more impactful and the tones/white balance of the scene dips towards cool rather than warm. Which is what I imagine Kayaking/Rowing is like

This new developing lab actually makes my work not look like hot garbage. I'm really pleased with these.
I've been playing around with some sprocket hole photography with my GSW690II, and it accidentally created this interesting composite image when it failed to advance the film fully

Couple days ago I went to a different part of the US/Mexico border to continue my personal project. It was pretty damn quiet and much different to the other part of the border that I originally took photos at.
Any CC would be appreciated! A bit of my own CC would be that, well, there's not much happening. Unsure if that makes the photos less interesting but I do plan on coming back when I get the chance as it's only just under an hour's worth a drive.
The second photo are of ATVs used by Border Patrol; as I was leaving I saw a border patrol agent riding one with dirt trailing behind him. God damn it! It would have been a great photo. Next time.
