I shot an acoustic video for the girl in Clean Cut Kid way back before their band was even a thing and before she got married to the lead singer, small world
Also personally I wouldn't cut/crush the blacks so much, it's a bit too much imo

Yes, it's quite "authentic", he bought a noodle making machine like the ones they have in japan, so currently his is the only restaurant in Scandinavia that can make "fresh" noodles, rather than importing.

yeah it's just scanning a photo and moving it around. It's actually lots of fun! Lain inspired me to mess around with some of the instax polaroids i had lying around.

Or was it done mostly in post to get the effect? If so, how?
Feels like most of my shots end up being a lot more bland in terms of blacks/whites and color, and even though I try a lot of different things in lightroom I can't quite get the effect I want

Well, the DOF is from using a wide aperture lens and a full frame camera, and that's also sort of where the softness comes from, since the lens I use isn't ultra contrasty at wider apertures
I do a fair bit in post, and I usually attempt to mimic the look of my favorite film stocks, and usually end up with an amalgamation of them. I use the individual channel hue sliders to give specific colors what look I want.
if you want to be a lil baby bitch you can use VSCO presets in lightroom that'll have presets for emulating specific films
Or you can find free film presets around the Internet. I still keep a few black and white film presets around, even though I do all of my color stuff myself.
somewhere out there on a film forum was a great kodachrome-based preset that i was inspired by pretty heavily when i first got lightroom

you can do wonders in lightroom with a tone curve and messing with a few color sliders, though
