To add to this, you shouldn't be afraid to move around more to avoid all your photos looking more or less the same with that static angle. I like to use a few different lenses to capture different looks throughout the time I get in the pit. In general, I like being much closer than the shots you posted here, to fill the frame with more artist and less empty stage. My goal is usually to take photos that emphasize the type of cool that an artist seems to be going for, so if a guitarist has some hella snazzy pants, then I go for shots that really show how fucking cool thos snazzy pants are. If they're rocking a hoodie and a pair of shades like fucking DAMN, then I aim to get a nice portrait of that. Catching crowd interaction is also really cool, but way easier with a wide angle lens close to the action. As a rule of thumb, I want whatever artist I shoot to be able to look at my photos and go "yeah, I'm cool". This also makes them more prone to sharing the photos on social media and promote your work, so it's a win-win type thing!
Here are a few example shots I've taken. Except for the rap duo here, all these artists have shared my pictures on Facebook and I feel like that means I've done my job.

story time:
it was my birthday over the weekend. so we must flashback 19 years to when i was being born't out of my mother.
when this whole birthing business was going on, my father's mother came to visit to see my birth. my dad wanted her to have a camera for her visit and wanted a good one for her to keep in general, so he got her a yashica t4, an uncharacteristically good point and shoot. 35mm zeiss lens, accurate autofocus and meter, mini top down viewfinder, crazy stuff!
well, out i came. and boy, i was such a shock to my grandmother that she died 2 weeks later from an aneurysm. oh shit! dad kept the camera. used it probably until about 2006 and then switched to digital like most other people.
so now years later my dad pulls that camera out and gives it to me for my birthday. i got myself a roll of tri-x, put it in, and shot it in one day. here are some of the good ones. this thing is crazy.
