dull some upper highlights and bring in more shadow detail such that there is less literal contrast but still great perceived contrast. some of the greens are a bit yellow which i would prefer more green. if these were raws i would love to play.

Tripod is probably my first crit about what your doing. You've got the composition but your losing sharpness by hand holding. I know it may seem like it will make you less able to just walk and take quick shots but your quality is going to take a big hit until you put it on something stable. What comes with the tripod is a lower ISO and a smaller aperture. I usually just throw it on my shoulder and walk around.

Like this picture for example. The subject is interesting and you can see small details like the hand smear on the glass. The camera is helping you a lot. However, if you had it on a tripod you could bump up the aperture and could get much more detail and have it at a lower ISO. Doing this you also just get more detail out of the scene in general. You could expose it better and get much more out of the darker areas of the photo if you shot at a lower shutter speed and edit them however you wanted.
Also to tell you the truth, the Fuji X-pro 1 your using is a very good camera. However I don't think its going to be amazing at night photography. It definitely is passable as I can see from your pictures. Just don't expect to be able to pull a lot of detail in editing.

I think 18 photos at once may be too many- personally I feel after say, 10 or so, they start to blend together and it becomes difficult to distinguish the exceptionally good photos. Like, it weakens or waters down the photos by not being able to single out the best ones- Am I being weird again? Either way I do like them, some good stuff in there.

Since we're posting pictures of pokemon trainers on their phones, here's a snapshot of downtown Bellevue park at midnight. I dont know if it's quite as bad now, but every night hundreds of people are there until the police come and make everyone leave.
Image quality is only a small portion of photography. Composition, lighting and subject are in my opinion the three pillarstones. :]

Love the shots, but on a technical level though for the top photo the blown highlights are a little distracting, mostly because the clouds around the pure white are discolored from the rest (more green than the rest of the sky). Clean it up and you'll be ace!
