Love the shots, but on a technical level though for the top photo the blown highlights are a little distracting, mostly because the clouds around the pure white are discolored from the rest (more green than the rest of the sky). Clean it up and you'll be ace!
Yeah sorry sometimes I don't notice off colours like that because I'm red-green colourblind and suck at editing - is this easier on the eyes?
It's better in the sense that now a big blob of the sky isn't over-exposed. But it's also worse in the sense that now the whole sky is over-exposed. :facemelt: Kill your highlights, don't increase!
I don't think it looks bad that way, it does contrast with the other image better now because it's like white sky in the first vs black sky in the second. Works better as a pair, but individually I think I'd tone it down a little. You can send me some of your settings and I can give a crack at it, to me I think it's just an issue with the RGB curves
Wowee, not been on here in a while. Here's a couple from the last month or so, pretty much all shot on a Pentax ME Super, mostly on Kodak Ektar film. Lemme know what you think! This one's a creepy old soap factory in Montenegro Your path, dissolve by D Nicholson, on Flickr This one was an open night at a local botanical garden To the nowhere by D Nicholson, on Flickr
Seeing pictures like these makes me wish I had a decent DSLR to toy with. For now I've mostly been taking pictures with my LG G2, which can't always take impressive photos sadly. We've been out for a weekend close to the sea, and I've just picked out the best I could find: [T]https://f.lewd.se/tYq2Y8_DSC_0163.JPG[/T][T]https://f.lewd.se/Lo8iun_DSC_0168.JPG[/T] Seeing this sunset was beautiful but I honestly think the camera was letting me down. My mom does have an Olympus E-420 but I've never managed to create impressive images with it so far. Another photo which I took with the same phone was this one, but then I was just toying around with my exposure settings a lot: [T]http://i.imgur.com/2FQo1ds.jpg[/T]
Fuck I love this one. Awesome colors, great textures.
Thanks! It's probably my favourite photo I've taken. I'm in the process of getting it blown up to 66'x44' for my wall :v:
guys these last pages have been so GOOD nice shots and colour there. what are you shooting on?
I'm using a Canon AE-1 Program with a Canon 50/1.8 and a Vivitar 28/2.0. All kind of cheap, but it was all my grandfather's and he thought I should have it. Shot on Ektar 100, someone here recommended it to me and it came out nicely. I cheated a bit and did some tweaking in Photoshop.
I somehow tore this in half

I had someone accuse me of it being a painting when I posted it elsewhere actually, had to post a different angle of the same shot to prove them wrong! Yeah, I'm getting a massive print of it for my wall once I can scrape the money together. Very excited! Here's a couple more from my flickr stream anyway, thanks everybody for all the feedback! hello, last week i made a post about losing my camera bag down a waterfall
hello friends. so on sunday I went hiking around a huge waterfall and decided to take an especially treacherous path, the type you shouldn't be bringing your DSLR in a shoulder-strap bag on. unfortunately I took the risk of doing so and paid the ultimate price. while reaching for a branch, my bag strap went over my head and the bag fell l down the entire waterfall, along with my canon 7d, 50mm 1.4, 3 memory cards, and car keys. they are now all with the wilderness. http://www.mrwallpaper.com/wallpapers/belmore-falls-australia-1024x768.jpg (It was the cliff at the second waterfall) there didn't seem to be a safe way down to it and checking google maps there is a huge detour around to reach the bottom stream which looks like it goes through private farm lands so I'm pretty sure its gone. anyways I'll be getting a new body sometime in the future and I'm thinking of going full frame. is the canon 6d the best one in terms of price? what are the pros and cons of it compared to the 7d? thank you everyone. what a tragic weekend this has been...
today i tried to go up the creek and retrieve it, but the track become too dangerous and time consuming to traverse so by the time i'd reach the bag (if it was even possible) and come back to the car the sun would have gone down. [t]http://i.imgur.com/90v1MIa.jpg[/t] anyway, i took some pics with my phone so that's something i guess it was a nice walk at least. one day when i have a dslr again i might come back and take some proper shots.
