Well, look here. I've been poking around the forum, and I think this might be one of the most interesting photography collectives I've seen in a while. I usually post over on Reddit and Instagram, but I think I'll add this place to my list.
I've been working on a project with a local architect, professor and columnist, to catalogue and preserve a visual record of some endangered structures in my city. Today, I took a few hours and photographed our civic coliseum, which is currently under negotiation for redevelopment by the council.
A little bit of background about the site, first. The building was built in 1961, and designed by the firm Painter, Weeks and McCarty. Bruce McCarty, principal architect on the site, was a close personal friend of both Louis Kahn and Frank Lloyd Wright, and those influences are incredibly pervasive in several of his works. Although most of his career paints him as a rational modernist, and at times a Brutalist, McCarty worked in styles ranging from Arts and Crafts to National Parkitecture.
Anyway, here are some of the best shots from today. Hope you enjoy them.

You've improved
the third one leaves me gasping to see the left hand side, since it's brighter i'm drawn to it and not the arches at the top which are supposed to be the focus, maybe a swing left or right would have made it more successful?

I truly appreciate reading the story behind these photos. Some future historian or architecture student might be very grateful you documented these so well!

That's the hope. The historian I've been working with grew up with this place, and was a close personal friend of McCarty's, so he's a great resource when it comes to this sort of thing. The Coliseum has been a pretty major stop for a lot of artists and performers, it's got a lot of history here.
I've spent a lot of time around his architecture, and it's part of what inspired me to take up photography, among other things. Sadly, with ongoing redevelopment here, a lot of it's being lost. That's why we're doing the project, to make a record of what's here before it's bulldozed and carted off.

You know, that's a really good idea. I might have to go back and retake that one. Do you think recomposing the shot would be more helpful than just cropping the image?
Went to Brooklyn for Christmas, the traffic was terrific:

click the share button on the photo's page and then copy and paste the appropriately sized bb code
[QUOTE=Sockpuppetss;51597551]Wow I love, how do you get your pictures so clear? I have a camera but my pictures are not clear like this[/QUOTE]
if you mean clear skies without the overexposure I usually take a photo underexposed, then bump up the shadows and highlights
