Also, if anyone can give me any tips on why my pictures are coming out a grainy mess, I'd appreciate them. The scans don't look like this, it isn't an issue until I resize them.
I'm using Ilford HP5 400, so I feel like it shouldn't be that bad.
then don't resize them
just put em on flickr or somethin

No, that film isn't nearly that grainy -- for example, shameless self-insert here:

If your negatives look that grainy, it could either be expired film or problems with development. If they don't, and it's just after resizing the scans, I'd look at the way you're resizing it and make sure you're adjusting the resolution and dpi properly

I came home from work today to find that my friend had sent me a Yongnuo 50mm lens, my first non-kit lens, had lots of fun messing around with it.
The winter has been really hard on the wildlife. So they end up coming into town in search of food.

i have so much complaining, my camera back opened midway thru one of my rolls and literally the only photo i was excited enough to remember was ruined, and every single other one is FINE

i'm using a sony a7 with some vintage pentax lenses. this was probably taken with a 50mm f1.7. it's a stitch of about 2 or 3 photos with 30 second exposures. ISO was about 100, and the aperture was something like f16.
it's actually a crop of a larger panorama i did, which i hope to do a loooong print of one day.
