Been a while since I've posted here, but I have been busy. These first two, I didn't have any good lighting, so I used my motorcycle's headlight from behind and was pleased with the outcome. Getting back into photography and looking to build my ~portfolio~ after doing film for a bit. Tried a studio shoot out and I think it turned out ok, although if you guys have any critiques please go for it. Also any tips for directing models/subjects? Do you take it somewhere, or do you develop it yourself in your own darkroom at home? I just want to understand how the people that get it developed by someone else do post production editing. Like do you scan it and then take it into an editing program like lightroom? I'm so sorry, but I'm so new to film, so these might be absolutely dumb questions. I've been on digital my entire photography life.

I've been on digital my entire photography life.
I've got access to a darkroom, but you don't even use the darkroom to develop film. You can get a changing bag, or just use a room with no windows and no light sources. All you're doing that's light-sensitive is popping the canister open, putting the film on a spool, and putting that in a developing tank. After that, all you need is a sink and the chemicals. It's really easy. Once it dries, you can scan it and edit it like you'd edit anything digital. All you use the darkroom for is analog enlargements, and there are very few reasons why you really need to do that these days if you have access to a good printer.
but I'm just so genuinely curious what body you use.
Looks like a Pentax MF body judging by the lens info. Just remember in this case the lens, film type and scan method used are a bigger factor on the image output than the body.

Yeah, I realize those things are more important, but I don't even know much about film cameras themselves, so I guess I was just curious as to what kinds are out there that people use.

As far as post-processing goes, it depends on how you scan the negatives. I use a flatbed scanner with a program called silverfast, which produces .tiff files that I then work with in photoshop. I'm kind of a purist and I edit my negatives VERY little because I think if you want to do some heavy handed shit you should just shoot digital. If you want to know more about the "proper" way to digitally work with film I can go into more detail
