Okay, here is the recording of my idea for what could happen at the end. I have it changing key as soon as yours stops, and it won't work unless it breathes for a second of silence, IMO. I was keen to change the key, although feel free to transpose it back to A minor if you want.

This is really nice. I'm not sure how much I like the digital bassline. It sounds a bit out of place, especially in the intro but it'd lose a lot of its drive if it wasn't there. I'm curious what you use for your drum samples.

Thank's man, I don't usually write a lot of piano orientated melodies but feel that I did that project justice by including some of my writing. I originally started out with just a paino before I adopted all of this technological stuff. I also forgot to mention I went ahead and made a music video for this as I deemed it important for the message behind this project to be conveyed easier.

I didn't end up finishing this music video and only got half way through, before losing all my source material by accidentally clearing my downloads folder, opps. This first one has fantastic percussion (I had not heard the first one with headphones last time I listened to the album) Wowza! Have you ever heard of a band called 'The Books'? Your music style and how your video is constructed gives me a strong vibe of some of their stuff.

I would be up for being involved in any future project, sure. I wish you had done more with the first track on the album - It's really very good.

Wow, lower tempo really works well for ya! I honestly didn't notice the minute long intro, because it felt so natural and I zoned out because of it.

You've got something really nice here that's for sure, I honestly can't think of anything to add beyond more of those sweet vocals you've got going during 1:26.

I got some drums recorded in my shitty basement studio, I'll have to revisit recording drums after I've done the following;

1) Getting myself a ride cymbal
2) Change the skins (the middle tom is looking like a teenager with severe acne :V:)
3) Actually tune the drums
4) Get some sound treatment in the form of acoustic panels I've got some plans on building.

buddy, that tune made me fly quite a bit.
maybe you could lower a bit the volume on the bass in the breakdown, around 1:57, and filtering a bit the kick at the start of the song, then progressively unfilter it.

I dig this a lot, but is there a chance you can put some more warmness in like for the zippery bass? But then again not a lot of people like my mixing decisions so it's probably fine. I like the watery sounds a lot and the way they build up after 2 minutes. Those synths are pretty awesome.

I learned how to make 808's sound in key. I just had to forget about the piano roll and find the root. I was playing in B minor, but the B for the 808 was indicated as D.

I also used an 80's technique on the drums.

The pad's are insanely chill. The track has this sort of melancholy kinda feel, especially with the end bits. I'd be honored to give you one of my tracks to remix.

i'm terrible at timing as well, that's why i record in small sections and keep recording a small section over and over again until i get it right
just keep doing that and you'll start getting better at timing overtime and then eventually you wont need multiple takes anymore

I love the cohesiveness dude, and the evolution of the track as it goes through the different ideas is something I really need to work on. I wish it had vocals, or some other leading instrument for some of it.

I believe in you, if I can become decent then anybody can because let me tell you, some(most) of my earliest work is not only severely out of tune, it also is noticebly out of tempo and I honestly couldnt hear it was that out of tune or anything.

I used to suck so incredibly hard at playing piano into a track, even the simplest parts took forever. I mean... I still stuck, but it doesn't take nearly as long

Is this the same track? It seems a lot different. I like it a lot though, very ambient and it seems like it could be on loop during a video game escape level.

Also, I think the choir synth from 0:05 in this track could sound cool over your track coming in after halfway/near to the end.

Try practicing some simple clapping rhythm exercises until you can clap along with a metronome. Also learn to count in-between the beats in your head (or out loud). This is called subdividing and it will be your ticket to success!

Edit: A tip I learned from one of my instructors is to count along with your steps in your head when you are walking somewhere. I usually let my steps fall on beats 1 & 3 when counting 1-2-3-4 as I walk.

Is the terrible timing a thing outside of recording too? I mean my timing was always off in recordings and I couldn't figure out why, but then realized that FL studio was placing every note and clip off time somewhat. I'd record on my loop pedal and my timing was always good, but in FL studio my timing always sounded off.

I wouldn't go as far as to bitcrush it, I was thinking more like saturation and some reverb

also listening again, some of the instruments being panned all the way left is kind of jarring
