Fare thee well, caterpillar

I find them too, they're cool looking.
I am terrified of caterpillars. And overall furry insects.
Tussock moth. Dunno which kind exactly. I find them too, they're cool looking.
Thanks man, I have some picture of a wild chipmunk that I trained to eat from my hand, and some of a dragonfly but I don't want to hi-jack your thread.
This is basically the best project that anyone has ever done. I really wish the government would fund this kind of shit. I would love to work on repopulating endangered species.
For how long do they live when they're moths?
about a week
Hey Postal, how are you? You should build a flying cocoon like the Monarch Butterfly, only this time, you'll be the Luna Moth. I can see it now:
i've been following this since september excellent work postal, this thread ROCKS
sniopsnitn Good job! (User was banned for this post ("Quoting entire first post" - Monkeyjoe))
Good job!
You're an idiot.
Good job!
Get out.
You're an idiot.
Hmm? What?
You quoted the whole fucking post - complete with all the big (or should that be bug :tinfoil:) images.
you quoted the whole fucking post - complete with all the big (or should that be bug :tinfoil:) images.
your scared of bugs! Man up tiny man!
OP is a god. Like holy shit.
D'aaaaaaaaaw... :3: He reminds me of a rabbit.
Oh my god, I fucking hate insects. I'm traumatized from them for something that happened when I was little :(
your scared of bugs! Man up tiny man!
It's the fact that you quoted the first post for absolutely no reason considering every post is, usually, assumed to be aimed at the OP. It's also pointless page stretching. But anyways, great job Postal. But don't you feel bad that you're putting all this work into all of this, just to have them die a week later after they become moths?
your scared of bugs! Man up tiny man!
You can actually get banned for that. (quoting massive shit) You might want to snip it.
This message is hidden because Rad666 is on your ignore list.
I've always wanted to raise luna moths.
Damn, those bugs are huge. Also awesome.
I'm looking forward to spring when they'll hatch. :]
do they love you back postal. do they greet you and look towards you as you wake up?
So, are they still alive?
So, are they still alive?
It's extremely cold outside, and we've had several nights where temepratures dropped below freezing. I tested the Imperial Pupa, and it took about five minutes until he responded, ever so slightly. This tells me the cold impacts how willing they are to respond, so I'm gonna need to wait until a warmer day before I test the luna moths, who unlike the imperial, are wrapped up in leaves and thus harder to get a response from. But at least now I know the imperial isn't bothered by the freezing cold.
Wow, Just wow. Amazing project you've got going on, will follow everything.
Also, some might find this pretty neat. See how fluffy the outline of the antenna's are? That tells me the moth that will develop inside of this is going to have fluffy antennas, and will thus be a male Imperial Moth.
