I've never seen it used for anything other than basically 5-minute games. Nothing polished, rarely anything that works.
Eh, I would say UE4 is significantly more advanced than anything else currently on the market, it just has good documentation.
Last I checked Blender Game Engine was being removed from Blender 2.80. Parts of the software are being changed in a way that the Blender Foundation believes with conflict with future versions of Blender. If you intend on using it, you'll be stuck with outdated software where you could be using other options with better licensing. Armory3d.org might be an alternative to anyone seeking it out.
