i dont think they have to, but like i said, i only port for now, i might manually add face flexes later. but thats a biiiiiig maybe, as for eyes, not too sure on eyes yet.
Alright,so i checked the tanks in Gmod, only the T-64´s have the errors and the T-55 and T-62 series are good.

I think Smug Bastard is on now, he should say yes to the models ported to Gmod. Cause you're not releasing them publicly on Gmod, you're uploading them to deviant art. Also, they should be cool with it as long as you put their credit in the description. Anyway hope it all works out.

sorry for the confusion concerning smug. he and i are talking. he has asked me to upload proof of my progress so he may judge it before he decides wether i can release it or not.

good news. they are ported and prety much ready for release. bad news, they had to be sfm optimized. but they still do have the physics mesh.
however a problem on my end is, while i can face pose the russian dude seemingly no problem, mr freeze and bruce wayne both cause my gmod to crash. again, might just be me, but just in case its no, i'm gonna cu them open again and have another look

gonna try to get them gmod optimized, then maybe see if i cant make bruce a bit more flexible, maybe. but mainly i just want them gmod optimized
They look brilliant. Glad he got back to you. I would be happy to test them for you and check if it crashes my Gmod, but I understand needing to fix them first so that's okay. Also, I understand many authors don't trust people with private releases in case of them sharing without permission, so forget I asked. I hope the optimization goes well and the releases turn out perfect as always.

Not up to standard?! Your models are amazing!! They're wrong! Anyway sorry for wasting your time with my request, I was super excited to use them, but I guess that'll be in another life.
i can try making a step by step, for dummies guide if you want, on how i made them. perhaps even upload raw parts that arent related to the models, like the physics mesh and you can just add them yourself?
heres a quick example of what i did
step one: subscribe to the SFM model, download and extract it.
step two: make squares that resemble humanoid shape, a shape roughly in the same shape and size and length as the limb, long skinny square for arms for instance, that i can upload.
step three: code the same shapes to act as a ragdoll and not a static object, also somthing i can upload. soe for instance, to make the arms posable, you'd make the following code:
$jointconstrain "bip_lowerArm_L" x limit -50 50 0
$jointconstrain "bip_lowerArm_L" y limit -10 10 0
$jointconstrain "bip_lowerArm_L" z limit -55 100 0
the -55 and 100 is how much the limb will bend in a specific direction, you'll notice the X Y Z before the numbers, thats the axis it bends on.
thats pretty much it. perhaps i'll explain step by step on how i ported a specific model later, porting from SFM to gmod for dummies

I pray they get a yes, seriously, the authors take the model from the game without asking permission but they have the nerve to not allow “THEIR” model be ported when it’s techinacally not there’s. Anyway, I hope everything goes smoothly.
You can resize models in-game so you don't have to worry about that.

must try to fix their faces, buff nerds top teeth stick WAY the phuck out of his jaw, and rhys looks....well....look at him! he kinda looks like he got jizzed on or somthing or ate somones car polish. the only guy i dont see any nit-picks for is daddy rhys at the back there.
and they all have face bones, thats how i got their jaws open (for those who are open mouthed)
rhys has a BUTT-TON of materials on him, so i had to try and half them, sort of, so that they still work, but in a different path if you will
heres the problem. right off the bat, there are a butt-ton of material designations for rhys, him blodied, him not blodied, him skag blood bloodied, hyperion, hyperion bloodied and not ect, so what i want to try and do (and did to get him in this picture) is go into his qc file and just get rid of most of the repeating files, like, all the bloodied varations.
then i go into the actual materials folder and get the first normal material i can, and add extra paths that lead out from there to the other textures, like the bloodied ones.
so hopfully his textures will all still be there.
think of it like this. you had to sneak some people over the border, but they wont let you pass here cause you have too many people, so you got to another spot where security is less strict and get through that way, so all the textures get over the border, i HOPE. i had to go to another checkpoint and try there
but as for the others, well...apart from buff nerds top teeth jaw problem? (gonna try and fix) everything has worked out for the best.
so all in all, i'd say, august is nearly completly ready, if not completly ready now. if i had to hazard a guess i'd say vaughn and rhs are like...60% maybe even 80% done.
suprisingly good faceposing flexes BTW, though jaws and eyes had to be posed with the bone tool.
on a pleasent note, they are all of them, gmod opitmized. latley i found i have had to optimize models for SFM, just with a physics mesh so that they would still work in gmod. which is still a win in my books (thogh the models i practicied these on are either lewd or have not been requested, or are the halo 5 arbiter who crashes my gmod still for some reason) but these guys were under the acceptable parameters for all regions needed. facial flexes, total bones and vertices and such. so they are all gmod opimized....they might just not look like it though...except for august.
black hand of suaron WAS coming along nicley, 'till i spawned him and his leggs didnt stick to his torso....gonna fix that.

Agreed, the models look awesome. But Midgerm, I’ve got some great news! I’m actually friends with someone who co-created many SFM Borderlands models and I’m sure they’ll allow me to get in contact with the official author, I’m sure they’ll allow you to port it on deviantart, you’ll have to include their SFM link and credit the author’s name of course but I will definetly help you as much as I can!
