It vaguely looks like parallax mapping. Pretty impressive for something that seems relatively cheap, honestly.

I'm a little concerned about the master bedroom (last screenshot) since its actually a bit bigger than the living room upstairs (second to last screenshot, near the top right corner). Should I switch these rooms around or leave it the way it is?

it automatically makes it look 3d. it uses 3 basetextures and makes them spin so i just made basetexture2 and 3 invisible.
Cool trick. Didn't get it to work in the first place. Had to mess with shaders again. And i messed it up. Like a portal into a volume of 'godrays' (if i'd raise the sample count). The spacial transform is very tricky to control tho.

The work in progress thread isn't really a place to ask for models. Use the help thread instead ( Mapping Questions Megathread V7 ).
Also try to be more specific, what kind of model you are looking for, what theme, what textures etc.

@Tin Can It's for a game we're working on, mostly focused on story and cinematics. The farmhouse in question is an area that the player will pass by, and has the option to power the house back up with a generator, which 'unlocks' some extra lore. We're still figuring that out, but I did set up the whole power up sequence already.

Black Mesa has tunnel fans that you could use, and so does INFRA iirc.
These are pretty funny/creative. The brushwork needs some support and what not, but the idea as a whole for all of them is kinda nice. Cool.
Thanks man, yeah I always found more joy in detail work and my brush work is still a bit blocky but improving. I've been working on lighting and displacements more recently. Lamp posts, cars and stairwell in last screenshot are from Gamebanana, I did the detail overlay work on the ground, walls and ceiling. Some of these maps I haven't working on in over a year, some are newer but all get worked on a bit at a time as I learn new things and try new techniques.

Sometimes I make maps specifically to test one thing like this one I made to test a teleport system.

When you touch the end of the corridor and teleport trigger you are sent to the opposite side. The 3D skybox was made to work with the teleport system and create an endless corridor illusion like the endless woods from Zelda or endless stairs from Mario64.

it's some special camera effect rendering hazyness around lights.
It's an env_lightglow entity, right?
I was thinking of just putting some vent decals on the walls. Cheaper and does not change the appearance of the tunnel much.
