Using blender Version 2.79b
Using Overwatch Version 1.27.1.1.50148 and io_scene_owm is latest version
What shall I do?
DId you export DDS images, or TIF? Cycles breaks with the DDS images for whatever reason.
How long does it usually take to open a overwatch map in blender? Mine just doesnt respond.
Depends on the size of the map, but if you're using an hdd it can probably take like 30 minutes if it's a big map.

No idea. Could be whatever. Much faster if you enable deduplication in DataTool.
Yeah, just start importing the map and do smth else in the meantime. It will finish eventually

1~10 hours with deduplication.
depends on how much RAM you have and how fast your disk is
I usually just sleep.
Export with the -0 option, I should probably make this default.

I just updated DataTool & OWM plugin to latest, tried both Blender 2.79 & 2.79.6, but imported models are still just skeletons.

Normally I export the models to fbx in Blender and then do the rest of the work in 3DS since it's more familiar to me but recently the textures have been really weird in 3DS--they're showing up as one solid color (ex: Tracer is completely dark grey, Brigitte is completely brown). Does this have something to do with TankLib or is there possibly a setting I've jacked up somewhere?
We dropped blender internal support, it's coming back soon™ but until then exporting will not have materials.

It should import with the material unless you disabled material import.
