So, apparently the new hero is a hamster with an armored tank ball.
New hero on PTR!
Probably worth mentioning to those who may ask. Hammond/Wrecking Ball is on the PTR. He will NOT be able to be extracted with the tools until he comes to the LIVE GAME. Just be patient and have fun, dudes.

Anyone else having problems getting the quickdatatool to work, it was working fine for me a month or two ago. now it wont work. I've been looking to extract the chain that Roadhog and Brigitte use in their highlight intros. Since they don't extract with the hero, I believe I should use CASCExplorer. Is there a tutorial that is up to date?

Does anyone know how to get Genji's Dragon model / animations? I went through all his models and didn't find the dragon.
You need to wait for TankLib to be released, it's the same deal as Hanzo's dragons.

Basically the more advanced version of OWLib, the current library being used by DataTool and the CascExplorer fork.

I'm sorry to bother everyone here. Been using toolchain for a while (all times successful). But now i seems to be have a problem while extracting anything, it just cancels on "Initializing". Hey there, I need to extract the monochrome, flat-stlye hero icons. Those are the same you can find on the official Overwatch website, like the one on the the following page for Brigitte I'm talking about the hero icon, not the ability icons (which I successfully extracted). Unless I'm mistaken, I've been able to find them about one year ago, but now I can't seem to find them anywhere among the files. What am I missing?
Hey, does anyone know how I can extract the textures for the spray can that shows up below sprays in lootboxes? I tried "extract-lootbox" but I can't find the texture for it in the lootbox files. Hi again guys, in regards to the refpose, I’ve managed to link a victory pose to my model, however how do I do the same thing for the characters weapon? The victory pose is missing it and I can’t seem to figure out how to get the character to hold it.
When extracting models, you get an "Entities" folder too. Import the correct entity with Import owentity, then assign the animation to it with import owanim.
Hey all.. May of missed the content in earlier threads but has someone managed to get Reaper & provide a link?? Or an archive of all models acquired so far??
@Naomi Did you manage to find which textures determine Metal / Roughness in OWL skins?
Have you tried with other skins? There is a metal/roughness map, no idea which texture does it. There is also metal/spec data in the constant buffer that the shader uses.
The albedo texture (you know the one that is a strip of 154 frames?) The alpha channel is the Metalness frame. Then the Roughness frame is in I think one of the secondary textures along with AO.
Hey, thanks for this reply. I’ve been playing around with this for the past hour or so. I’m struggling to get it to work with weapon entities such as pharahs gun with the kneeling victory pose. The gun entity is imported with its own skeleton. I don’t suppose you could give me a quick rundown? I managed to get it working with her helmet during the heroic victory pose.
@zingballyhoo @Naomi I don't know how much this helps with the OWL shader research, but here it seems like they're using RGB & CMYK channels to determine how they color areas (which might help them create the ramp effect rather than having 3 solid colors). https://youtu.be/AUPExXBfS1s?t=1m25s
