Thanks, How to export the ".seanim" file in the model folder?
Importing SEAnims is a bit more complicated, and I don't remember how.
Thanks, Does the owanim file contain all the animations in the game?
Most.
SEAnims are imported by getting the skeleton refposes exported when exporting the model using the --extract-refposes switch, then in Blender, delete existing skeleton, then search for "import smd", then specify the refpose smd file, select make new armature instead of append to target. After that, select all submeshes of the model + the skeleton, then rotate it by 90 degrees on the x axis, then select the skeleton only and search for "import seanim" then apply the seanim to the skeleton, then switch to object mode (instead of pose mode). Then select all submeshes and the skeleton as last (skeleton's outline should be orange instead of red), then press ctrl+p, and select "armature deform", then the anim is added to the model.
Hi, first, thank you all for the tools you are putting your time into. I'm trying to extract a specific skin and victory pose (Ana, Horus skin, seated) for 3D printing, but I'm encountering some trouble. When extracting with the --extract-refposes switch, I'm able to follow the instructions from Tutorial/Import animations into Blender and almost get my result, correct skin, correct pose, but I can't find a way for the biotic rifle to be in her hand (I've never actually used Blender before). When trying the new method with the owentity / owanim files, the model appears, and importing an owanim from the skin folder works, but there is no owanim in the victory pose folders, only the seanim, and trying to import that file directly will completely corrupt the model.
Get the VictoryPose's ID (the name of the file you trying to import) and search that specific ID in the AnimationEffects folder.
First of all, thank you ever so much for the tools you have created, not everything works for me yet, but I've seen it working for other people, and that's awesome. Now here's my problem: I've used QuickDataTool to extract Genji's base skin (DataTool 1.28.0.782, Overwatch 1.28.0.1.5095), I've installed io_scene_owm (1.6.0 I believe) to Blender (2.79b), but when I try to load the model in Blender I get this error. I don't understand what I've done wrong. I've tried deleting and reextracting the same model, extracting other models, I always seem to get this error https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/326155/5f8b129a-c96a-4acd-9b3a-82843840aa9b/Error.png
The latest version of io_scene_owm is 2.0.1, the format has since 1.6.0 been updated to support vertex colors. in other words; You need to update io_scene_owm
Right. But... How? Do I uninstall 1.6.0 and then install 2.0.1 the same way? Does the .blend file inside the archive do it for me? Do I need to copy anything from archive to archive? Because when I try to install the 2.0.1 archive the same way I installed the 1.6.0 (after uninstalling 1.6.0), nothing shows up in the add-on section under User Preferences, and I thus can't import any owmdl file :/ I tried installing it while 1.6.0 was still installed, the version did not update Sorry for the inconvenience ^^'
yes No, the blend file is for the material library we use. Download here: https://github.com/overtools/io_scene_owm/archive/master.zip
It worked, thank you very much
It's going to take a bit longer than I was expecting to figure these UI files out, it's just one long element graph with vague asymmetric context clues that makes it hard to visualize.
but 88C is not the real map it's the menu stuff my friend sent me his 68D and which is 3GB bigger and everything was fine.
menu maps don't have names.
Anyone know the ID of the Dancefloor songs in busan?
You literally don't have dotnet installed, upgrade from your toaster.
Does Datatool's built-in sound conversion work? it used to work, but now it doesn't When i run DataTool with a command like this Datatool --language=enUS "E:\Overwatch" extract-hero-voice "E:\Overwatch_Extracted" "Tracer" It gives me a result like this: https://imgur.com/S2VGYlD Running it with --convert-sound=false works fine though, and i can convert wem to ogg the old way. But that's too long and it used to be way faster with Datatool's built-in ogg output.
Is there a way to batch import the .owanim files?
From this thread. I just reinstalled windows [for the net part]
Been exporting lately and I ran into an error. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/328192/566c433f-8371-4a55-a8c9-01b1813e6e49/Datatool Error.jpg
I want you to do something that should be very simple: Compare the Datatool and Overwatch versions and tell me what you think is the problem.
Someone was asking me if i could help them with datatool because it wasnt working for them. I've been able to get him to try it on cmd, but i dont know what could be causing this error. Anything they should try to fix it? https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/133831/c60c66e2-764d-4f43-a280-adbbac1ddb98/image.png
Are you running a 32-bit version of windows per chance? Sound conversion only works on 64-bit.
I download from here AppVeyor is this not correct?
That's the old url, this will always be the latest build now. https://ci.appveyor.com/project/yukimono/owlib/build/artifacts
Where can I find the latest update for quickdatatool
Dunno, I don't think any of the GUIs are properly updated for all the recent changes made to the tools. Lot of people have been reporting issues.
QDT is no longer maintained since half a year ago. It does not support new DataTool features.
I was just stupid. Kinda forgot that links are grouped with pictures on the web version, while on the phone everything has its own option.
