Well. Needed those extractors to create a bit sleeping outfit for her. And I want to fix that texturizing problem to finally replace the gloves and that forehand clothing... you know. What would you do in my place to fix this? Didn't merged all of it yet. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/263253/52abd5fd-63ae-43a4-b898-9cf9e99de435/image.png Still looking for bare feets.
Just tried the Ashe in Winter Wonderland model and I'm dealing with the same texturing issue I had with Mercy's as well. Tried both in Max 2012 and 2017 and the issue persists. Any fix?
Ash things? Epic is on it too. mmh. All about white christmas.
Not sure I understood what you're saying there, I'm having trouble texturing her as well as Mercy's models eversince using the latest Datatool If it helps I'm exporting it as an fbx from Blender and importing into Max and the textures just wont work.
Well. It was an Ashen pun. And if your textures don't work you may have to check the formats or make sure they are all linked and exported as material texture links in the fbx file, to load in max- Blender has a lil dodgy fbx exporter. If it doesn't expoart as is, you may just have to rebuild the shader node graph. I dunno for sure. I'm not a max user.
Ah sorry, I'm not well versed with Ashen and the likes lol. Um well that's rather unfortunate and strange as well because I've exported as fbx in the past before this update and the textures were all fine but now they're seemingly broken...I suppose I'll have to make do with an obj or dae then. Thanks.
Exporting by voice is working now. Now I have McCree's conversations' parts BUT if I gonna export Ashe coversations, Ashe's are the only working.
Update: Model loads fine in Autodesk FBX Review but when importing to Max it screws the texturing up or it freezes completely...pretty confused here
Anyone know what this error is in Blender when I try to export an .owmdl as a .3DS? I can't export as any other format, otherwise the UVs break or the mesh is deformed inside of Max when I import it. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/132434/534085fa-279f-403b-b761-cb3f562f6a78/image.png
Hi Assasinge, you shouldn't use .3ds or .obj, it's a very old format from the msdos days and has many limitations such as no support for skinned meshes and animations thereof. Your error is also probably stemming from the texture filenames not being in 8.3 DOS format as it says in wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.3ds). I did a quick test importing via fbx and it works, no uv errors.
