Fairly certain it depends on your lighting setup and the quality of the scanner used. A lot of times I notice you end up with lumps or deformations, or tight spaces (like arm/leg pit joints, just stuff generally very close to one another) become melted together, if it's not absolutely perfect with rather expensive top quality equipment.
It also generates models with INSANE polycount that's extremely hard to manage if you don't painstakingly retopologize it entirely, of which difficulty greatly depends on program used to do so.
In short, it might be a good starting point to get the proportions correct, but ultimately I personally wouldn't recommend it.
Yeah, I figured it would be alot of trouble. Theoretically, I would likely scan the trees before I start assembling and work from there. If I ever could afford such equipment, realistically, would likely be only practical for scanning weapons, alot of which would likely just be easier to model by hand anyway. I would be nice to have digitized replicas of the kits though. But hey, just a thought I've been wondering about for quite awhile
Finished my Full Armor Knight Gundam sword aswell
Full_Armor_Knight_Gundam_Sword
wouldve uploaded it days earlier, but a cold decided to sneak up on me

still wish I could get the CAD(or whatever else they could use) files used to make the figures and kits though
It looks weird plopping this onto the DWG3 Knight Gundam, but unless we can acquire one of the Extreme Vs 2 machines and dump it, will just have to do
Smaller than I estimated, at only 72 inches long for 1/12 scale and 72 feet long for 1/1 scale, have fun
swords are fun to make, finding usable references, not so much
has the MSGO update with the silver bullet suppressor and narrative gundam c packs been uploaded yet ?
