Thanks! managed to figure it out now. Its a tedious process but im starting to get some nice environment stuff from TFU2
Looks really good even without any textures in Keyshot.

My only concern about it and the Battlefront 2 2017 Star Destroyer for that matter is using it in scenes of large scale fleet battles where more than 5 of it are present.
I use a program to rename files in bulk which speeds up the process considerably, but yes it is tedious!
@FleetAdmiral01 .. I still haven't decided which ISD I want to put into my animated shorts... theres the SWBF1&2 versions & x5 uploaded versions of the classic ISD on sci3d.com... In your opinion, is Anzel Hasio's the overall best out of all of them on that site??
Doesn't BF models have different LOD for that matter?
@wubba I think the studio model made under supervision and access to archives and actual props is always better (at least for canon ships).
The ships don't have multiple LODs, but there is a low-poly model in BF1.
There is that but some of these modellers from ScFi3D surely would of used the movies/official blueprint archives from literature as reference also as they are old models but very seemingly accurate.. at least you would think...
I was digging through the Battlefront models archive library recently as a matter of fact. I assume you mean this one:

This is what it looked like in my render engine with the bump maps active. I like it for the most part but I feel like the colors are way too tan, not sure why DICE did that.
hey all, does anyone have the Gonk Droid shared by ChrisGFX on the third thread? the link seems to be dead, the the battlefront 2015 model, thanks in advance

It shouldn't look anything like that. You must have an outdated rip from way before Frosty was created.
Yeah that model is from the alpha build. Can you link the one you just showed a render of.
Yep, here you go:
Star Destoyer (Background)
Thanks dude.

^Ive extracted the mesh from BF1, the sounds, and the textures. Hosting it there alongside other Star Wars assets.
Well the evo trooper i think specifically for example:
When converting it i noticed it has missing faces on the legs
oh nice, thats a great selection of models
I don't suppose anyone might know where I could find some rigged clone wars characters for Maya for a personal project?
Just a quick render of the BF2 Star Destroyer.

That is very strange because I don't have that problem when I convert the model. For me it converts just fine with nothing missing. The file I converted from TFU is named "ma_imperialEVOTrooper.gto".
The cgi characters? You could use the search. Google "facepunch republic heroes" or "facepunch adventures" or "facepunch cwa" helps too in case it won't work. Don'T try the image search. Most of the old or dead images are not found anymore on there. It found those threads with some valid links real quick tho.

If you need something else you can ask. The Republic Heroes models are kinda easy to get. The Adventures rigged character script is still work in progress (thank TRDaz - he made me do it). I can attempt xtraction manual right now tho.
The only thing i can think of is if i might have an older version of the script?
So I'm guessing these ones are rigged up in FBX all good to go? Just need to export them to Maya?
They should be. The only concern I have about the models among the others I've grabbed on this site over the years as a fellow Maya user is when I import more than one character some times they get fused together because most of the models have the same skeleton-bone names. Unlike in other software where it adds a number to the name.
Wait republic heroes is easy?!
You able to get these 2 meshes?, if you can can you get it in SOOG?

They are scaled properly. For instance, if you import a star destroyer and a TIE fighter, the TIE fighter will be extremely tiny.
@aspiring3dmod Kinda easy, when you know where to search in the files. The output is still mirrored. Nothing to change that right now.

Someone was kind enough to share the KotOR Republic ships extracted from the games, but are the Sith ships anywhere? I've been looking through the threads but a lot of links seem to be dead/inactive. :/
No problem if it isn't SOOG!, just aslong as you didn't modify it like scaling or rotating or something (i assume you didn't)
@aspiring3dmod Nope. It's pure xtract. As always. The messy rotations is just how it comes out. It's y-up modelled. The scale is in centimeters, in case you need to know. And you can de-mirror it easy if you scale the armature in x -1 and rotate z 180. Atleast in blender it's that easy.
