I already set it to direct x 11 and if I do d3d11 wrap it crashes bf2 on launch
@DieuDeGlace hmmm.. that could be anything causing that really!?.. Without reconfiguring your PC/process of elimination, Frosty is your best bet... Frosty Battlefront 2 Maya/Blender There are other tutorials out there though I found this one informative
@wubba Okay. You didn't see the normals? The model inspector is there for a reason. You gotta know exectly what the textures are. I'm more pedantic then. i didn't know this is about credits for releases here either. So, should i remove now? Or not ? Tho, i have the complete version with even the authors credits intact. huh.
@Corra_Ashu By any chance do you have these models ripped?
It's all good @dlight .. maybe I need to clarify for you.. I did notice the interior normals weren't present though my assumption was it's how the author intended as it appears to me the model is primarily for external observation & the interior as secondary therefore I didn't question it.. Great to know they're there so thanks for providing & your surpassing pedantics.. by all means, leave your post/link as is I know for a fact the author doesnt want his creation redistributed as I asked them myself & they have refused any download requests for their other Star Wars related models.. I deliberately removed his logo so it wouldn't be blatantly obvious, it came from SF but I guess considering its 'landed' pose & all these posts that's almost unavoidable now Like I said, I don't upload much on here so it was my attempt in providing a rare 'release' for the die hard fans.. that's what I was hoping to get credit for. Cheers big ears!!! :b
I figured out the problem, I just had to delete the dx12 shader cache in the documents swbf2 folder. It works now but idk which files are snowtroopers in the .rip files. I might just go back to frosty editor because I can obtain the files I want, the only thing about it I don't like is how it exports all lodgroups, but whatever
Never had to delete the shader cache when I rip via NR!?.. the rough step by step guide explains how to differentiate between the .rip files (to a degree) .. it sounds like you know what you're doing with Frosty so I'll leave you to your own devices
I have it, I'll upload it in a day or two.
what step by step? I tried to open the instructions for ninja ripper but it says error 404 not found. yeah I think ill stick to frosty but I don't know how to export body parts as one whole collection with a skeleton like corra did with the clone troopers. Guess ill grind that out.
Is there any official or unofficial kessel PLANET NOT ASTEROID texture?, not ground texture but planet seen from space texture
Google it. It's the highest res but works. https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/e/e5/Kessel-SWCT.png
Yes but it will look weird if i uv-map it, as in there will be a seam around the side
It does? maybe you gotta unwrap better. Or, if you do this space map style you just use a 'background' sprite. Even Dice/Criterion/Motive use just a background 'flatsphere' model for their planets on space maps. That's how you do it. You never see it from another angle in space. it's not worth rendering the whole planet model. ;)
Actually it is worth rendering, the planet rotates ingame ;)
i meant the Blockade Runner interior they were asking about.
so I am using frosty editor and I found the snowtrooper body part mesh, but when I export and look for a skeleton there doesn't seem to be one disgnated to the snowtrooper? anyone know what rig does work with it or has no one really done what ive done besides corra,, wubba, and fleetadmiral?
Okay. It should not do that tho. Planets don't turn that quickly to feed a shooter round.
When you export the mesh, it's the mesh only.. (if that's what you mean?).. it's possible Frosty uses one skeleton for multiple characters though I cannot confirm this..tbh I've never exported the skeletons from Frosty as I usually rig my characters with Mixamo... Pretty sure Corra uploaded/released the Snow trooper ages ago rigged & all back in thread V2 or 3??...
I figured out a way to fix that for me. what I meant was the under the snowtrooper assault class files there are meshes and schematics, but no skeleton. Turns out ea uses the Humanoid skeleton under rigs for everything, which makes sense for efficiency, so I was confused as to where the skeleton for the snowtrooper assault was. I just used maya and exported weights on the individual meshes using the same skeleton and imported them back in after importing all the parts with one connected to the rig. Sorry if this doesn't make sense as its kinda hard to go into deep detail
From what remember off the top of my head Star Wars Jedi Challenges uses the Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes model for the Seventh Sister but with much higher resolution textures.
Seventh Sister isn't in GoH (yet), but she is in Force Arena.
I have it from SWGoH:
Hi, I'm new here Search First Order Flametrooper EA BFII repared in FBX
Did you export form frosty via .fbx?
Does anybody have the EE-4 model?
Okay so need some people to help me with this but is Star Wars Battlefront 2 really fucking skins up again? The 212th which i remembered being pulled from DATA mining was these: https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/862866980282855459/628AD19679E97C7D2B8D39CE3629869FC9051A8D/ but with this new trailer im not too sure as 327th is still fucked but it seems like 212th is in the clone wars show style. I tried to look into the commander texture and looked at the supposed "captain" in trailer but it does seem like its just a 212th in cw style. can someone shed some light on this please https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/148732/c0592596-1929-42c7-aebc-5064d754f364/image.png
wait til next week and you see if they "fucked up" the textures again.
Yeah, I think it's suppose to be Phase 1 212th.
Yes, Star Wars The Clone Wars Lightsaber Duels Wii is rippable. I don't have the game though so I can't rip anything from it myself. Here is the Prototype B6 B-Wing starfighter from Star Wars Force Arena: Prototype B6 B-Wing starfighter Force Arena Model Rip https://imgur.com/f7NEZtY
@Warhammer_81 Thanks once again for another mesh! Just curious, is lightsaber duels rippable via ninja ripper or a tool?
