Is there a way to know which textures go where or do I have to just guess? There's a lot of channels and options and I'm not exactly sure how the eyes should be laid out with their shaders
Hiya! I used to do a bit of digging when OverTool could still mine PTR Contents, and stopped shortly after they made some big change. Trying to get back into it; however I'm just after one thing really - Baptiste in his default skin. When I input the following command - DataTool.exe -L=enUS "C:\Program Files (x86)\Overwatch" extract-unlocks "C:\Users\zenof\OneDrive\Desktop\DataTool Output" "Baptiste|skin=common" All that comes out is this. If anyone has a spare second, what amendments would I need to make the command to get the models exported into Blender. Many Thanks.

That is just Facepunch, it has issues formatting code blocks with quotation marks.
Hey, I'm concerned if TankView can extract maps like King's Row, like QuickDataTool GUI (accidentaly deleted it) I just don't see and option of extraction of map.
TankView does not extract maps, isn't a GUI like QuickDataTool. TankView lets you see all the raw files and see previews of Images, Strings and Sounds. If you want to extract maps you need to use DataTool (or QuickDataTool)
Problem is I don't have a QuickDataTool now. Because I've deleted it by accident and I can't find anywhere the download for it.
Hey! I'm unable to import Petra to Blender because it crashes instantly. Is there any fix for that?

download more ram. maps always take a long long time to import because it has a ton of data. OW doesn't try to construct the entire map at the same time. also it looks weird because I'm still in the process of translating OW's lighting model into Blender, so a lot of lights are just too bright.
Can I get higher quality by myself by creating my own lightroom in Blender?
I've really like to make an Image of that Aventador drifting around King's Row, does anyone still have a QuickDataTool GUI? I can't get around the DataTool.exe without the proper GUI.
Try Yernemm's OW Extract Toolkit: Yernemm
It's because DataTool is a CLI (Command-Line Interface). You just need to open a command window and enter the commands. You can Shift-Right click in a directory on windows and click "Open Command Window here" (might say Powershell instead of Command" then you just enter the command. ./DataTool.exe {overwatch_dir} extract-map ./outputfolder "King's Row" It's not that hard. If you have used any of the GUIs it shows you the commands it uses.
Yes, but you still probably have to go through and fixup the majority of materials since a lot of the map materials depend on buffer data which we don't currently export.

Still waiting on an answer regarding materials. Is there a way to import models with materials? I really dont know what materials go where. I can't figure out how the eyes get assembled. Also what shaders are what? Some of these shaders I don't know what they're for. Maybe someone can explain? Thanks
A new Overwatch patch has come out so the DataTool update will be delayed.
When it's out. I'm gonna get my hands on that bike, and try taking a shots of stunt poses.

Is it possible to extract sound weapons? Reloading, Shot, Hit and this type of effects?

Is it possible to extract from the main menu? Would be nice to get that hover bike model Tracer is on.
The main menu is just a map and can be extracted like any other map via its name or ID. I dunno if the bike model is there though. DataTool.exe {ow_dir} extract-maps {output} B56
Re-export the models and update the addon, one of the two is outdated.
Well, to get to the Tracer's motorbike. It may be necessary to look through Title Screens with Type: Event or Scripted
I'm using the newest datatool, I have re-exported models, but still same error. I have add-ons from this link: GitHub But the 2.79 and 2.80 versions don't install. It just freez blender for few seconds but nothing changes. The only one that I'm able to install is legacy version but i have this error all the time
Ok, i have fixed it. The problem was with add-on instalation. I had to manually put it into blender folder
