If anybody wants to make fake leaked screenshots of Halo 6 in SFM i got ya covered https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/305695/7d9adc52-51b1-4c77-b358-2c7ebd06e23d/h5rigged.PNG It was a pain in the ass finding the correct meshes for the armor and the arms since there are alot of variants in the files. (also sorry for my shitty rigging) Bonus (sry for that broken scope UV): https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/305695/6227cc0d-f272-448c-aacf-ba55fe1b24b1/as3s.png
Has anyone checked if the mini-map in ODST with the top-down view is its own model?
It's very unambiguously it's own mesh in game. It doesn't take much effort to download the maps yourself and poke through the files with Adjutant.
I just noticed that the older Facepunch threads got deleted. What happened to them?
Oh! Looks like they did. Well, I can't think of anything that's within them that's not-outdated (Ishi's Workshop, Dusty's H:R Elites, Srgt.Shotup's Workshop, Danger Wasp's Left 4 Dead 2 & SFM ports, Masterlegodude's Workshop, Loacher Films' Workshop, are ideal places to start looking for Garry's Mod/Source Film-maker assets, with Source Film-maker's Steam Workshop simple enough to navigate through with SFMLab an alternative I've been made aware of, but much of the Halo-related stuff there's often considered out-dated), but if there wasn't, I don't think I'll be able to rescue any of it. Consider this spot an alternative thread though (Where beauts like Soul & Majora's works lie in wait): Unofficial Halo Model Resource Thread
Probably dumb but in one of the older FP Halo threads, there was a link to a H2 Gravemind model that somebody ported. Since I don't have the skills to port it (nor the time) does anyone have a link to that model?
Just wondering, have those revamped Halo 5 models that Soulburnin was working on been released anywhere?
Do you know how to port your halo 5 model from the game? or is that not a thing, i see other youtubers with custom banners and thumbnails and ive been trying to figure it out all night
Well, they probably took the assets linked above and just ported them to Blender and went from there. I think you're talking about UberNick specifically, and some of Forge Labs' stuff, and the former probably did the Blender trick, while the latter's using posted SFM models that already exist there. I'm new to the process myself but have ported my own H5 model to Blender (thanks, RosaWeyland/CherryWeyland/Zel) and could push you towards some tutorials on how to do it such as the one linked below. Could also do it for you, depending on what exactly you're looking for, but yeah. Unless you're talking about creating a profile banner/thumbnail with it, too. Which would take longer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbsxd2-zChM
Reference Image Request I’m planning on recreating the classic Nightfall helmet design that was present in the Halo 5 Beta. However, in order to achieve this, I require sufficient reference images to model in the specific shapes and details present on the helmet. If you have any images from the beta of the nightfall helmet, please send them my way, as they well be crucial for me to be able to do this project.  Just for a point of reference for my previous works: [Custom H2A M6C]  https://twitter.com/ masterj2001/status/1003908029463474176?s=21 [H5 Concept Recreation]  https://twitter.com/ masterj2001/status/1034680695447142400?s=21 [H5 Curveblade (WIP)] https://twitter.com/ masterj2001/status/1026596701711134721?s=21 Additionally, I work closely with a guy by the name of AbiSV. Examples of his work:  [HD Halo 3 Hayabusa Helmet] https://twitter.com/abisv1/ status/1036686410944839680?s=21 [Halo Reach GRD Helmet] https://twitter.com/abisv1/ status/1035959398953299969?s=21 [AbiSV’s ArtStation ] https://www.artstation.com/abisv
Does AbiSV not post here? Or am I mistaken?
He posted his Master Chief here back in November. And his H2A ODST but that’s about it.

But I managed to get the Halo starships into Lightwave 3D 2018, my software of choice for space scenes.
I still have the Halo Reach Captain Keyes model. Corra_Ashu have the file to me some years ago. Here’s my issue it’s still in the Halo EMF3 format. I can import it into MAX but as I stated I believe on the Star Wars models thread for some reason the standard FBX export breaks the bone weighting. Making the model almost impossible to pose when I bring into Maya or Lightwave. Is there another way around this?
Don't use EMF when exporting from Adjutant. AMF is generally superior, and preserves game-accurate normals.
That's just the problem. It was already EMF when it was given to me.
If it's from Reach Adjutant should be able to export it, no?
After optimizing AbiSV's Master Chief model for Lightwave 3D's rendering engine. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/108625/901d4309-4ee3-49a0-957d-b7ed94287ac9/Halo Infinite Fanart V2.png
Looks like you've got some kind of a weighting error. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/109991/d70894ad-338c-4680-9518-3e26e19bfa4e/image.png
Leg was bent slightly outward when I posed him.
Does anyone know if Adjutant can support texture filenames being on the exported model? I'm probably missing something, but even though the UV maps are there, the textures aren't even separate materials, the model is just a blank mesh, without any form of guideline on where what texture should be. I just use the model in the Adjutant model viewer as a reference, but other than that, there's nothing. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/109928/c807d366-fad9-4289-b015-74552ee9b188/image.png
You can extract the models using the .amf format to get texture materials. I think you can only import .amf or .emf files using 3DS Max though. There's a script that the Adjutant program can create to import files to 3DS Max. After importing the model in 3DS Max, you can export it as .obj to import to Blender. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/241786/a0fffe32-8464-41d1-a54d-bc12ec6ac863/Screenshot (15).png
I have one worry about exporting from my version of 3DS MAX. I have the Halo Reach Captain Keyes as an EMF3 but when I went to export it from 3DS MAX as an FBX it completely broke the weighting and skinning of the bones. Making the model basically useless to me. Is there another way?
Use AMF, EMF is less reliable
a little less then a year ago i found in game model 3d file of the halo 2 anniversary Battle rifle. i could only view it in 3d viewer but it was awesome to get a good view at from different angles. my pc was reformatted and i swear i saved the file but i cant find it and now i cant find it anywhere on the internet. would appreciate it if anyone had this file and could share it. i think i found it either on facepunch or halo maps forum.. thx
Never-mind. Got a new model from a friend, and scrapped the one I was trying to use.
Does anybody still have the Halo Wars 2 Sergeant Johnson Model? Accidentally replaced mine with an empty FBX trying to export it.
Has anybody attempted to aquire the pelican model used in the Halo 2A cutscenes? A render of it exists on Artstation but I haven't asked the authors for a file, I reckon they've already heard enough of that anyways. I'd pay someone to port it if possible, hell even try to recreate it from scratch, it's simply the sexiest aircraft I've seen.
That's all pre rendered stuff. Closest you're gonna get is the HW2 Pelican, which is in the same style, but just a lower detail model with less moving parts. The Blur Studios model used in the cutscenes is probably at least 1GB in size on its own, anyway.
