Looks like C# to me buddy.
Correctamundo. But 1 game out of a lot doesn't mean c# is better for games.
Indeed, but I think people ought to start. C# has many advantages over C++, and with today's computer and technology, I don't see any reasons to use C++ over C#, even for a game. XNA (and MDX) is very well optimized in general, and I highly doubt speed is the issue here. Modularity is also very easily done with C#, even tough I'm not sure that working on invidual modules is the best approach in either language.

OP you make it sound like we've decided to make a game already. Get an idea, post it and then ask for help.
OP you make it sound like we've decided to make a game already. Get an idea, post it and then ask for help.
I haven't, the whole idea is to make up something from scratch, and I still think it can work.
I would go for C# is performance is not that much of an issue. It's easier and you'll be a lot more productive.
I would go with C++ since it is the preferred language of the best programmers in the forum.
I would go with FORTRAN 77 Because I am saying that to merely go against the grain, also NASA uses it for the space shuttles, so fuck you.
also NASA uses it for the space shuttles, so fuck you.
Because it is good at number crunching.
I think we should do it in brainfuck. It's a so simple language.
I think we should do it in brainfuck. It's a so simple language.
I think we should make a brainfuck interpreter in lua, then make an interpreter for lua in the brainfuck interpreter we made in lua.
I think we should make a brainfuck interpreter in lua, then make an interpreter for lua in the brainfuck interpreter we made in lua.
But write all the lua code in hexadecimal using a keyboard that has only 12 keys.
I think we should do it in brainfuck. It's a so simple language.
Fuck that let's use Malbolge
I vote for a LOLcode interpreter.
A whitespace interpreter would be the best option imho.
A whitespace interpreter would be the best option imho.
well your opinion sucks :v:
How about inverse binary? All the code is written back to front, (Least significant bit is on the left) and each bit in inverse. So a standard 8 bit: 01101010 would be written as 10101001

I like the python proposition.
I like the python proposition.
I like you :) Ideas: Operating System Programming Language Game
Programming Language
:waycool:
Operating System
The Facepunch OS sounds like a dangerous piece of software. Especially OIFY mode. :v: Seriously though, this is a rather interesting idea, as I'm planning on an OS of my own.
An OS is really more complicated than you guys think, unless you want it to be some cheap command line thing. And even THEN. A programming language or a LOLCode interpreter sounds pretty fun.

-snip- yea
