Well I started something some days ago but I feel like it's going nowhere so I am dropping out. It was supposed to be a reaction game, maybe something with music/beat too. Sort of like bit trip and canabalt? Also you would be able to switch the mountain you're riding that's why there's 3.
Don't give up on that. I've got a great idea for you. Is it flash? Even if it isnt, take the volume level to create the level, something like what you've got, then make it spawn obstacles on the beats for the player to avoid. It'd look great and go well with the visuals. If you don't do it, i am.
Just make sure you don't spawn obstacles on the beats but instead the player has to jump on the beat.

Of course I wouldn't have you told you guys that it wasn't procedurally generated.

Please 1up me i like where this is going.

Weather mostly working, I'll post pictures or a video when I'm happy with it.
Everything except the robot is polygons that change color. Sunbursts make anything better.
Sun burst does make it look awesome to be honest. Working on recording the soundtrack for my entry.

I'm dropping out, I decided I didn't have enough time to work on this and also get a decent amount of progress done on Lewt before I go to Uni. My idea was basically a Pokemon clone where the monsters are procedurally generated at the start of the game. I got monster generation done but I couldn't be bothered doing the art for each body part type.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/16759793/sample.mp3 The closing credits song to my entry. Not finished obviously, transposed from Piano sheet music I own to guitar.

I agree with map, there is a lot of noise.
Hello.
Ahem.
Yeah, that was the raw recording, no noise removal or anything. I don't have a decent mic yet so that had to suffice.
Ahem.
Even if that version may be the original, it's way too upbeat. The Gary Jules version is much more fitting to the lyrics in my opinion.
As much as I like Tears for Fears and the original version of Mad World, Gary Jules did a much better job at making the song convey the same emotions as the lyrics. It's use in Donnie Darko was absolutely perfect too.
I have a game idea, but it feels like I'm jamming in the "Procedural Generation" rather than making a game based around Procedural Generation, We'll see how it goes though, cause I'm about to start my last semester (and thus major project) for computer science.
I am new to C++ but maybe I can improvise like I usually do. Would be a good practice to try this.
I'm gonna try to make my game in time for this. But I'm not sure I'll be able to make it since I have to write the entire framework too. But things are going fast, so we'll see :)
Gah fuck. Friends just seem to take away my programming time. All I've got done is procedurally generated weather. And even then you'd have to play the game at least twice to notice that. Still got to make procedurally generated terrain.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/16759793/theme.wav First propper recording. Sorry for the few skips, I'm working with an old laptop, and it's actually pretty hard to record anything with it. I'll re-record this if I have time, but for now that's the closing credits.

That'd be really nice to hear at the end of any atmospheric game. It's not perfect, but that adds a lot to the charm.
Yeah, I think I'll just leave it like that for now.
Content... Sort of. Just an effect I'm trying out.
Oi, Dlaor... Post some content here... Also, determined to beat you this time. I'm going to beat you so hard your grandmother's gonna feel it. I'll post a screenshot or two up in the morning to show off my Procedural puzzle generation for my first puzzle. Might also show off my procedural weather thing, but it's pretty shitty.
