And I dont suppose anyone has made a love2d fork to create the same framework but for c++?
What's the point?
What's the point?
Not everyone preffers lua
I'll release the source in a few days (first gotta clean it up a bit) Could you post a screenshot of the problem? It's also a possibility that the background generator accidentally generated a very bright background, how many times have you tried restarting?
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3724424/Various/screen.png
...Alas...
I thought that putting it in this thread was submitting it. I guess I'm going to update my game a bit before submitting it.
http://love2d.org/wiki/Game_Distribution People will still be able to read your code, though. There's no way to make them not able to. But it's not like LÖVE is the only framework where that is the case. Look at Minecraft and Terraria.
You mean that other people can read your code? How can people read Minecraft's or Terraria's code then?
You mean that other people can read your code? How can people read Minecraft's or Terraria's code then?
Well, it's not strictly the same, but both Minecraft (Java) and Terraria (XNA) can be decompiled to give a rough idea of how the backend works.
Well, it's not strictly the same, but both Minecraft (Java) and Terraria (XNA) can be decompiled to give a rough idea of how the backend works.
This, were as with Love (well any scripting language based engine really) the game code is part of the game resources so people can just look at it
Couldn't get mine done in time --@space hazard Lags a lot for me, add graphics options and going into escape menu gets annoying

Being XNA doesn't at all affect getting the source code. Sorry, but it bothers me when people speak of XNA as though it were a language. Totally douchey, I know.

My mistake.
This, were as with Love (well any scripting language based engine really) the game code is part of the game resources so people can just look at it
A Linux user complaining that his code can't be obfuscated? Heh.
A Linux user complaining that his code can't be obfuscated? Heh.
When it comes to possible commercial products yea, other than that zlib all the way
I don't think there will ever be any love2d commercial games.
I don't think there will ever be any love2d commercial games.
There already making one Also how come you seem to be rating all my posts dumb?
I don't think there will ever be any love2d commercial games.
http://www.ohso.co/volley-brawl.html
That wasn't commercial what a couple of months ago? I remember downloading it. I wonder why the guy made it commercial.
*spacehazard*
God damnit I need a reformat... My computer just does not want to install .net 4 properly.
First of all, stop whining about people seeing your code. Nobody's going to do anything with it, and if they do, then bang, you've got modding support and/or a community. Somebody's taken time to edit your shitty game.
I agree, but was it necessary to call it shitty?
Anger leads to hate...
...which leads to derailment. Anyway, I fixed a few bugs, and added sounds and background music. Those will be in the version I send to Loli later tonight. also, guess what it can do now:
I don't think I'm going to be able to get this thing to a playable state in time for the competition, right now it's more like a fancy tech demo of the procedural stuff I added. I'll continue working on it though and make a thread about it sometime in the future.

Is it instantly white or does it take a few seconds before the background suddenly turns white? Also, could you two tell me what GPU you have?
< 1 1/2 hours to get your entries to me.
am i too late
am i too late
Loli's profile says that he was last on 7 hours ago, so he probably hasn't made the thread yet. I would send it to him.
am i too late
Send it me, I've not made the thread yet :v:
