Good news everyone I've invented a program that makes any screenshot look like a photograph of a screen.

wow, now my friends on facebook won't know the difference!
And the focus needs to be off.
So true that it required posting twice, huh? :v:
Also I never said anything about doing it for a tile-based game, AABBs are incredibly useful for a lot of things.
It seems a lot of people would like this so I might as well go ahead and do it... it's not like I have anything better to do :v:
Yeah.. I just figured that if someone was having trouble implementing AABB collision, they might not have too much knowledge of collision in general and abuse it.
And sorry for the double post, that's Safari on the iPhone for ya.
How do you do that with WinForms? Would like to know for a project of mine.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.windows.forms.control.drawtobitmap.aspx
Then lock the bitmap to memory and make a texture from that.

I remember doing that, I just wish I thought of adding lines :v:
Add bloom and blur.
Don't forget the lens flare.
Needs more jpeg compression artifacts too.
And grain.
And grain.
I think you [del]are[/del] deserve a tool
It stops being funny after this post, I'm calling it.
Is there a way to post WM_PAINT to the message queue, while not processing it immediately? It's quite annoying if you want to draw again next frame but if you post another WM_PAINT message it goes into an infinite loop.
:(
Nobody works with winapi? Well I can't blame them :v:

Now invent a program that makes any photograph look like a screenshot.
Since it's a message queue, not stack, that shouldn't be a problem.
If Windows in complaining about a frozen program, try Sleep(0).

There's no function to post a message to the queue without immediately processing it, if you call it from the same thread.

I remember that someone here was making a roguelike a while ago, and they posted a link to the algorithm they used to make randomized dungeons. If anyone remembers this or has the link saved, can they repost it?
I don't usually post here, I'm more of a lurker I guess.. Seen some pretty cool stuff around here so it's time to contribute with something too :v:
Me and my team have been working on a flash game for a while now and we've just released a quick teaser:

We will be looking for a sponsor in the next few weeks but any comments are appreciated.

This looks amazing. I'm guessing it's like a game where you invert your character's gravity? Or a game where you can go super fast but only in one direction at a time?

Yay 100 posts

Hoho. Somebody is copying some pretty famous games. Don't give me that inspiration bullshit either.
Somebody is copying some pretty famous games. Don't give me that inspiration bullshit either.
Yeah, but I wonder if it will be better than Team Meat's portrayal of I Wanna Be the Guy.
Does anyone here think they can decrypt this string I've encrypted?
SXp2+Ir0gGk=
If you get it, let me know please. I want to test my encryption. It's not random symbols, it's an ordinary word - just a heads up. :)
Thanks.

It's not like he's mercilessly ripping off some struggling little indie dev. Super Meat Boy already made it's seventeen boatloads of pure gold bullion. He put in the work and made a game that looks pretty different. If we followed your logic, nobody other than id software should be allowed to make an FPS.

You can't do a good cryptanalysis on such a short cyphertext...

No, he isn't using the same genre instead he is copying the IP albeit slightly modified. But then again, they made so much money so let's stick it to the man!
/sarcasm
That's still really, really short...
Even a simple XOR cypher with a reasonably long key is essentially a one-time pad at that length.

I genuinely hope you're trolling.

I'm helping Overv with http://open.gl/, so far I've coded context creation, shader loading, vertex buffers, and vertex arrays.
