Could anybody point me in the right direction for developing an OS? I'd quite like to rip off Chrome OS, or at least steal all of it's ideas. It seems quite good for net books and such.
If by OS you mean something you intend to use on a day to day basis, look up some linux kernel tutorials. Even Google based their OS on the linux kernel. I'd advise to just not bother with that idea though.
If you simply want to give extremely low level C(++) and assembly a try then you can try www.osdev.org
For somewhat static geometry, wouldn't it be faster to calculate the mesh once instead of letting the geometry shader run through it every frame?
I have no idea, but as bean_xp said, I save a whole lot of memory doing it this way and if performance is ever a problem, I can just use transform feedback to write the geometry back into a VBO. I can remove a lot more faces using the geometry shader than just rendering to the VBO, so I don't really know what is most effective.
Anyone of a nice debug font that's quite small but yet readable at the same time?
Is this small enough?

It sounded funnier when it said "Is this small enough?" instead of "small and readable" :saddowns:

I had to check every letter to realize the fourth word is supposed to be "very".
It looks more like "rees".

Hey, Xerios is the comedy police, not you.

It's wierd because the smaller one is easier to read :psyduck:

Go get a title so I can mock you then we'll talk :geno:
Edit: why is this dumb
May I please have a font that's bigger then 4 pixels tall.

I should have seen this coming shouldn't I
In all seriousness try HobTiny, or Proggy or ProFont
What about Comic Sans, it's a great font!
result? all of the desired edges, without any of the undesired triangles

actually forget making a tool for it, i'm just gonna generate these meshes at run-time
done

it's not entirely perfect (look at the cylinder) but it looks good enough for now, there's more important things to focus on
Not Tetris for Android is looking really grim; I can't even get the hello world to work v:v:v
I have followed this stupid tutorial to the word and copied the code 1:1 and it still doesn't work. Java sure is hard.

Oh nevermind I just have to wait about 2 minutes for the thing to start. Eh.

The little things don't need to be perfect, it adds charm to the game.

I still think it would look better if it only showed real corners. The not-corner-corners just confuse non-mappers/3D-programmers. The cylinder and sphere look good, but the lines around the carved out part look just out of place.
Apart from that I LOVE the art style though.
Hide line of 2 polygons that are part of the same plane and share 2 points?
good idea guys, thanks for the feedback. i'll def try your suggestions
if there's anything i've learned so far, it's that 1-man teams require a lot of prioritization, or else nothing useful gets done :v:

Looking at his event history, it doesn't say anyone's changed his title either..
:v:
AFAIK it only shows up if that person did it themselves.
Might be wrong though.
I could stare at this for hours.

Looks like a 3D DNA strand.

Add a third "line". This could be interesting.
