Is the kernal written in C or C++ (in addition to ASM)?
I'd say its either C + ASM or just ASM. C++ can be hard to use with OS dev because of all sorts of name mangling ect.
I'd say its either C + ASM or just ASM. Was it someone on here that made Infinite Mario? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DlkMs4ZHHr8
Please don't tell me you're building your own runtime library too
I am, this is all just an experiment really.
Looks like something you could make a kick ass visualizer with.
That's an idea...
Was it someone on here that made Infinite Mario? Was it someone on here that made Infinite Mario? Was it someone on here that made Infinite Mario? I never said that he made the AI. kthx
Notch made it
He certainly didn't make the AI. And I'm not even sure that's the same Infinite Mario.
He certainly didn't make the AI. And I'm not even sure that's the same Infinite Mario.
Its a modified version of infinite mario which notch made:
We are basing the competition on a heavily modified version of the Infinite Mario Bros game by Markus Persson. That game is an all-Java tribute to the Nintendo's seminal Super Mario Bros game, with the added benefit of endless random level generation. We believe that playing this game well is a challenge worthy of the best players, the best programmers and the best learning algorithms alike.
Also the question was who made infinite mario not the AI. Do your research before rating a guy dumb layla.
Its a modified version of infinite mario which notch made: Also the question was who made infinite mario not the AI.
Woops I meant the AI, platformer pathfinding.
Its customizable by the user so its perfectly fine
Customizable isn't always a good thing. Putting options everywhere just means you're a lazy developer that doesn't like to make decisions about how your application should behave. Every option puts a burden on the user to make the decision you didn't want to. Also,
If you uncheck "Use message boxes" it just silently kills the blacklisted process(es).
That doesn't make any sense.

You can provide a good default value, but you should try to make every aspect of whatever you make customizable. Also it makes perfect sense, there is an option to stop the message boxes from appearing every time a process is ended. [editline]27th August 2011[/editline] Also the title of a message box isn't exactly what I would consider "behavior"

No sane user will want to read through 4 screens full of check- and comboboxes.
Got on to my College coursed :D (English College, not American College) Computer Science, Physics, Maths, Music. Just finishing up my comp entry whilst being somewhat drunk.
Anybody here have any experience with OpenCog?
Pathfinding :D
Made my first C# Windows forms project, a very simple stopwatch/timer. You can choose do you want to use the stopwatch or the timer. The timer needs a starting point to be set. There is also a notification for when the timer reaches the end. Some bugs may persist, and the desing is a bit clunky. The code, oh god, so DRY. I may update this a bit and if you want, release it.
Here, have a clock. Fresh from the oven!
Starting out from Open.gl's tutorial, then scouring the web reading and re-reading, I finally made my first shape in OGL! (And I understand my whole code completely!) It even has perspective and stuff. (I use GLM but I understand all about the matrices completely so I'm not just copy pastin code)

I was inspired by dajoh, so I started making my own boot loader as well.
I'm still porting my microkernel to x86_64... Sorted out a simpler (and better) physical frame manager, wrote some interfacing between by loader and the kernel to be able to reuse paging structures for the first kernel thread. Now reading Intel MP specs, hopefully enabling APICs and multiprocessing soon. Fascinating, I know :v:.
evevm6ep?
Lovely font, eh? It's called Cucumber. I suck at naming.
Garry needs to fix the one year cache time for avatars.
what
I have some content (shock horror) http://dl.dropbox.com/u/33076954/Galaxy.rar Its a gravitational attraction simulator for 400 particles/stars. Currently there is no user interaction, and the mass of a star isnt represented by size or colour (this matters because stars absorb when they collide). Edit: Thick red borders because i forgot to remove them on new vista install (woo harddrive failure)
