It's extremely good.

OpenGL is generally popular with game development communities and a lot of indie developers use it. People love indie developers.

Most people in this subsection are really big supporters of cross-platform programming, you don't see as much cross-platforming with Direct3D as you would with OpenGL.
In all seriousness how did you get so much publicity?
Someone found the video 12 days after it was posted (11 on the website). According to my research, one of the first ones to post about it was this guy: http://ironnoob.com/forums/index.php/topic,2416.0.html
First day when it was posted on reddit, it jumped to 3300 (visits per day), second day was 3800 (posted on funnyjunk), and today is 7300 and still rising (razer facebook post). Until now, the highest traffic was the Not tetris 2 release spike (it maxed at 1900), and the only other spike was ~800 (Taiwan spike).
I may be shit at coding but I love looking at stats. And since it's related to the subject I guess posting in waywo can be excused.
(Oh and Stabyourself.net on Facebook got to 250 likes without us ever really mentioning it - once in a blogpost and there is a link at the very bottom of the left menu)
edit 7 minutes later: It's already at 8100

Facepunch wasn't always like this.
I approve, though :3

Both DirectX and OpenGL have their goods and bads but none is worse than the other

I wonder how much of this is due to WAYWO being Maurice's personal army
Hahaha, I put Back2Work on my friend's laptop and added all his bootlegged stuff to the blacklist and set a message box and set it to run silently
He got this message box basically

He's uninstalling all his bootlegged stuff because he thinks he has a virus
:v:

Should've changed the button to "Resist Arrest".
You get a silent ban for 3 days because of posting a mosaic of Mr. T's face in WAYWO. So, you might ask, what could you possibly do in such a period of time?
How about learn basic linear algebra and create a full 3D world in OpenGL where you can walk around in?

It might be mostly copy/paste code but I understand it completely, even the vectors and matrix stuff. Oh, and I also got full MSAA working on a other 'project'.
Might not be so special for you guys, but it sure is for me :v:
Isn't that just basically one of the SphereWorld examples from the opengl super bible that you're showing screenshots from?
I basically already said that.
Finished up my game! Submitting on tuesday :D

This reminds me of the countless hours I spent in MS Paint just drawing like bridges and houses and then blowing them up and making jailbreaks with brushes and fires with the spray tool and mining massive piles of gold.
Those were simpler days.
You can now use Visual Studio with Python

Supports Intellisense / Go to definition / find references / etc.

Well, I'm almost done with the base descriptor in Detector.
The orange line represents a descriptor stored on disk and the blue line represents the current descriptor of the target.

Prizes who can guess what the descriptor stored on disk is!

Demo should be out in about a week

We already have over 5k site visits today (2 hours) when it was 12k yesterday (Which is already amazing).
And I have not written a single line of code today :(

Use the publicity, man. Get other projects out there, maybe some advertising on your site. This won't last forever.

I saw this in my feed and came running here.
Congrats, man
I haven't checked open.gl since context creation came out for windows.
I just checked now.
I'm disappointed in you overv.
Just about to start learning some basic programming. I think I'll go with C++, as I hear it's one of the more standard ones. I came to this thread because I didn't want to start a thread about it, as it's a pretty simple question:
What compiler should I use for C++?
For learning purposes, whatever you want among the modern ones. If you're on linux you probably want to use gcc. If you're on windows, Visual C++ express is probably the best option. You could also try to set up MinGW + Eclipse/NetBeans on Windows, but it's not worth just to get started.
Sorry, you need to Log In to post a reply to this thread.
