read as "the laptop required by my future university has a better [...]" [editline]8th July 2011[/editline] it could probably be written even better but fuck writing :v:
I'll let you proofread open.gl :v:.
I'll let you proofread open.gl :v:.
it's funny how i failed english for the year :v: intelligently enough, the US education system evaluates students based on whether they are willing to do bullshit work (usually outside of school time, aka homework) rather than on actual ability (going even more off-topic) for example, i did a presentation in front of a fairly large audience and one of the directors told me i am a "good, confident" speaker if i am a "good, confident" speaker, how could i possibly fail english class? isn't english class supposed to be teaching me just that ? education at its finest
How is that possible, I always had an A in English and I hardly did any homework :eng101:
in class we "discussed" books, and then all of the work (reading, projects, essays, etc.) was to be done at home

-snip- too many posts
If you want to make a dot then make a sf::Shape using sf::Shape::Circle to make a circle with defined radius.
I meant, like, just a one-pixel point. Is it only possible to do shapes?
-snip- too many posts
I meant, like, just a one-pixel point. Is it only possible to do shapes?
You could make sf::Shape::Circle with radius of 1. If you need many, then you could make an sf::Image and set pixels on that and render that image.
You could make sf::Shape::Circle with radius of 1.
I love experimenting Draws a line between there the player is and what they are targeting.
Suddently, a giant sniper appears:
Things that are higher appear larger. So I suppose he's just really high?

I don't see any pentagons.
I don't see any pentagons.
The blue thingys are two merged pentagons. If you put a vertical line in the middle of 'em.
Was bored at work during downtime, so I decided to make my own version of Back2Work by Quark:. It's nowhere near as cool or robust as Quark:'s, but it was a fun time killer.
You could make sf::Shape::Circle with radius of 1. If you need many, then you could make an sf::Image and set pixels on that and render that image.
sf::RenderImage if you're using 2.0
Use the font 'Verdana' for Windows Applications. Looks so much better [editline]8th July 2011[/editline] Also why on earth would you blacklist your browser? When I'm programming I always have it up looking for documentation and stuff
Also why on earth would you blacklist your browser? When I'm programming I always have it up looking for documentation and stuff
Maybe he thinks it's too big a distraction to be worth it, or he's afraid of using it as a crutch too much.
sf::RenderImage if you're using 2.0
Just use FBO objects, screw abstraction.

Do you think you could add, I don't know, maybe a skull and crossbones where someone dies? I kinda get lost with icons disappearing.

Does anybody know anything about doing realtime lighting from an overhead perspective with tiles? I've seen some games get it right, but I'm not sure how to deal with walls.
...Youtube Poop Music Video. Goddamnit.
Are there any crossplatform libraries that allow you to use the XBox360 controller? C++
I love experimenting -snipped image- Draws a line between there the player is and what they are targeting.
Use the font 'Verdana' for Windows Applications. Looks so much better
Segoe UI looks great too :)
I've been working really hard to get this running :v:
Use the font 'Verdana' for Windows Applications. Looks so much better
No. Use the fonts defined by Windows UI guidelines. This means Tahoma for Windows XP and Segoe UI for Vista & 7. (For .NET, see this.)
...Youtube Poop Music Video. Goddamnit.
Yes, what about them? Is this what you are working on or are you in the wrong thread?
I really like what you've got going on with this. Do you think you could add, I don't know, maybe a skull and crossbones where someone dies? I kinda get lost with icons disappearing.
Was exactly what I was working on about 15 min ago! Helps a lot. I'm not going to keep the lines in, it doesn't add much and is just more stuff for the plugin to do, trying to keep it performing as good as possible, having to run a trace 10 times a second isn't ideal.
