Is it bad that I have a variable in my code called "indicesIndex"?
Does it make it better that I have this comment above it: "//TODO get this checked by the Department of Redundancy Department"?
But wait, it gets better! Look at my steam profile!
You're trying too hard
You should probably just call it "indices" instead.
Indexes sounds soo much better imho
You're trying too hard
it's 3AM :suicide:
and I already have a uint array called indices, I'm filling that array and I needed a separate index variable because my for loop is iterating through vertices. For vertices, normals, and texture coords, it's all "index".
Acutally I don't think there's any issue with just calling it "index," all the other index variables are out of scope... I guess that's what happens when you code at 3AM. And it wasn't intentional, I wrote out the variable and the rest of the code, went back and realized that it sounded redundant.

I dont think it massively matters whether or not your variable names are redundant, though i have an awful habit of calling them things like "Rawr" and "tempp" :v:

There's a guy I used to go to college with who learnt some programming stuff, and he never understood the importance of properly named variables. His programs were full of variables called "biscuits" and "wizard" and then he had arrays named "pig" and so on. It was SO hard to help him debug shit ._.
I try to at least make my variable names related to their purpose, I just have an issue with naming them too broadly...or something. I don't know.

They are crits and miss the image for that?
Or maybe something related to sentry rockets.
null, I don't think your business ventures will be as successful as you may think.
Did you release Back2Work yet? I haven't seen a download link
No, not yet. It's one of those things where I go, "Okay, time to release it!" and build it and get ready to zip it and I realize, "Wait, that shouldn't look like that..dammit! Oh, Christ, I forgot to this [this] and [that] is still using [that]!" and I end up working on it again. :(

Geel making fun of someone else about their programming WHAT HAS THE WORLD COME TO
On the other hand he successfully created and shipped a commercial grapher, so you can go if else yourself.

The phrase "you don't have to be a good cook to know the food sucks" comes to mind.

Hey, did you know that decompiled code isn't the same as the original code?

Yeah so does the phrase "The pot calling the kettle black"
Hey, did you know that decompiled code isn't the same as the original code?
I'm pretty sure the forum reached the referendum that the compiler doesn't make such optimizations.

The phrase "Do you think the clients are really going to decompile his code, look at a tree of if-else-ifs and go "oh no this program must be awful then i wont buy it!" ?" springs to mind
I'm sorry. It was a stupid joke. Null is actually a fantastic programmer (Portalized comes to mind). I'm sorry.
relax guys, no need for another argument of "look, nullular grapher if-else-if-else-if-else :v: hurr durr what a bunch of shit"
geel9, i don't know how successful my business ventures will be, but i'm dedicated enough to find out either way
