Looks like ash ketchum
Yeah, I'm not sure if it's supposed to look like that or not, but Quote does bear a semblance to Ash.
less whining, more working
This looks exactly like the invisibility from the Halo games. (that's a good thing)
Looks to be the characters field of view, if you're talking about what I think you're talking about.

The game is grid based, just like the traditional rogue-likes, and the white lines indicate your field of view.
Oh. :v: *hasn't played a rouge-like game*
Well, that's getting there :\ I need to figure out how to best propagate light horizontally next.. yay
I think if you look around on notches blog, you might find some of his lighting stuff.. Found a good workaround for the collision problems! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKwq_Ga5d-k This is my first time adding a voice over to the video. I'm italian. My pronunciation is absolute crap. I tried my best to explain how I fixed the collision system but it's hard to understand. Basically I'm using a new system that still has the "wall-jump/wall-stuck" bug. The bug doesn't occur if we test collisions with other bodies ordered by the Y position. This is an "hacky" solution but so far it works well with lifts, spikes and any moving object. Watch the video to see the result.
Man, with Deloc rating me dumb I'm starting to get very angry!!!
there's no bad spelling rating anymore.
Working on programming a worm... Not a computer worm, but a worm like creature... Kind of like this bad ass mother fucker

I just realized i can write on my CRT monitor with dry-erase markers and erase them with a sock. guess who has two thumbs and just made his life easier? ME.
I just realized i can write on my CRT monitor with dry-erase markers and erase them with a sock.
Now you can cheat at Counter-Strike!
Now you can cheat at Counter-Strike!
How would one do that
I just realized i can write on my CRT monitor with dry-erase markers and erase them with a sock. guess who has two thumbs and just made his life easier? ME.
When I found that out I couldn't help but draw on my monitors. In fact I started drawing all over everything. There is a video of a games dev competition I entered, we were by far the best technically but we missed the dead-line. So we drew the UI on in pen, claiming it was multi-threaded (which is why when you ended the game the UI remained, we never closed the thread :)
Now you can cheat at Counter-Strike!
TBH I'm not 100% sure how you could cheat with a marker.
You put a mark in the middle of the screen, so that you can noscope with Scout easier
I always thought the scout was crazy inaccurate without scoping. Anyway I'm working on some stuff for the game competition. I'm glad one was started since I was starting to get worried about my lack of doing something productive. Won't have screen shots or anything up for ages since I'm writing the "engine" back-end from scratch.
Collect the mole people! Link: http://davidjokinen.com/java/
collision detection seems to be working only 75% of the time.. I've walked through spikes without an issue. Also when standing on the bouncy blocks, it would be nice to bounce when you're just standing on it, instead of when you start moving over it.
I've been making some procedural music stuff for the contest... http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4081391/procmus.mp3 Should I add more instruments? (note, the time the sounds play isn't procedural, it just plays procedurally generated sounds (sine waves) with random pitch whenever I click)
That reminds me of the procedural music that Spore has.
