It pretty much ends up being "implement a 7-specific feature in a app and win $17,777" if it works like that.

There are a lot of contests that exclude certain provinces/countries, VALVe does the same thing, so does Blizzard. Nothing special.

Ideas that aren't gimmicks and need to be done anyways: As long as plugins count... Firefox 3 plugin to make each tab show up in the taskbar like IE does. And also have it do a progress bar for downloads. And have the security emblem added to the icon if on a secure site. Pidgin plugin for emblems on buddy task for away and such, tabs show in taskbar like IE(I dunno about this since you'd have to fuck around with gtk too probably so you can paint all tabs all the time), and windows 7 style instead of windows 7 decoration with gtk+ controls. So basically, rewrite pidgin for windows native.
