But, I'm going for an extremely simple, computer-orientated design. I don't want it to look like the general super-flashy-in-your-face designs you see everywhere.
Well look at vladh's url shortening thing http://vdh.im/
It's about as simple as it gets, and it's not flashy at all, yet it looks pleasant. Get some inspiration :D
Although Vlad comes off as a harsh guy he does make some pretty good designs and can code pretty well too.

I haven't seen much change, really. It looks okay though.

Meh, not sure on the colors, fonts or padding to be honest...
Working on an awesome two-level permission system for Mod Outlet. Instead of using a database to store permissions, it's contained in a config file for ranks, because it's a lot quicker, and easy to edit.
Currently got a basic 'check' which is only against the session rank (so can easily be spoofed), which is just for displaying edit links and comment boxes. Then once you actually submit an edit/comment, the second level 'has' comes in which checks the rank against the database, and tells you to kindly fuck off session spoofing if not.

Much worse, use the old one - it was pretty nice.

Uses jQuery Animate to change between each one, everything slides up, and the content's height go to the default.
WIP, I'm tired.

I love the background of the main content.

:suicide:
Yeah I know, right now it just sets it based on the color of the menu item.
Working on Stackpunch, a directory of Facepunchers on Stack Overflow (similar to compwhizii's FP Twitter)

You should get a subdomain of facepunch.us for that
I do, stackpunch.facepunch.us
it's pointing to this other site I've got running at the moment, because I haven't added a vhost for stackpunch yet
Oh, sweet. Maybe someday I'll design/code something that's actually good :sigh:
nice job though it looks great!

I think I'm in love with jQuery.

Hooray, all that information you see there is real by the way.
Get nicer server status check images
Working on it.
Simple black ticks and crosses maybe with a red background on the crosses would be enough.
I made something that generates images from strings.
thelinx gives:

bartbes gives:

#lua gives:

facepunch gives:

the source code of the script gives:

It's too bad that the output is a bit ugly.
